And I mean the Gathering's song!

The first song I heard by TG was "In Power We Entrust The Love Advocated". but at that time I didn't even know it was the Gathering's sog.

So what was the first song you heard?

Probably built in the 50's and it was love from the first listening :)

Mandylion album. So Strange Machines was the first one.
Anneke was singing on Arjen Lucassen album "Into The Electric Castle"
and Arjen said really good words about her so I decided to check out TG.

Mandylion. The tape was on the B side when my friend gave it to me :green:
So from the other part the first "tutti" was Sand & Mercury. Do I need to tell what effect did it have?

You Learn About It :)

First there was a special in the dutch program called "het jeugdjournaal", a news program for children. About a boy who made the video for the you learn about it song.

And not very long after that I saw them perform YLAI at the Barend en van Dorp show... the same video you can download on a few sites.. then I was hooked and tried to download some songs :D

The first song of The Gathering I heard was Strange Machines too. This single was played on the Radio 3FM, while it was in the charts. Some months after that I listened to the album Mandylion, so those are the second, third, fourth, ...etc songs I heared of The Gathering

The first song i heard from TG was Leaves, and i downloaded it by mistake, and believe it or not i didn't like it !!!
A couple of months later a band (in wich i still sing) asked me to sing with them some TG songs, and they showed me a live video of them, and when i herad ON MOST SURFACES, i totally fell in love with the band for ever, and now Leaves is one of my favourite songs :flower: :flower:

My 1st TG song was "The May Song" on Century Media's Identity 4 compilation.

Liberty Bell. I read a blurb about The Gathering on the Century Media site.
There were four songs to choose from, and the title 'Liberty Bell' just stood out from the other three. That's how it was my first.
God, I do love that song!
