I think I saw him using just a BOSS GT6 on the last gig in Portugal

On the ASR dvd he is using Line 6. not boss.
So if thats true i think my soon to arrive Boss gt8 will be worthing.

A friend of mine just bought the new Line 6 (I dont remember the exact name of the model) and you can download different FX configurations from some well know guitarrist from their site, but we couldnt dind what Renes uses :(

BTW, whats using rene in the last part of the studio version of Travel? Delay with what? Maybe some reverb?

Nowadays, René doesn't use the Gibson anymore. They're still on stage as back up but he uses the Eastwood guitars mainly.
ALso he doesn't have the Koch powertones anymore but the same Koch amp that Anneke has on stage (dunno the name actually)

That´s a Koch Twintone :)

A very good amp! I looked at one of those and Powertone when I wa about to buy a new amp. In the end i bought myself a ENGL Ritchie Blackmore which is also a great amp.

Hey everyone!

I'm investigating one of René's guitars.
Yes, the Gibson Goldtop:

I'm trying to find out as much as I can, and this is what I got so far and my questions:
Gibson Les Paul Goldtop (year? model?)
Pickups EMG (81/85?)
Used tuning (standard E or D?)
String gauges?

Thanks to all that can lend a hand...

Rene uses 2 giutars on stage, one tuned on E and one on D.

I have checked some pics, and i think he also uses a BOSS tremolo and i think a line 6 delay (Dont remember the excat model)

Now a day, im using a Line 6 pod xt live, and i have no problems recreating Rene effects.
