How do you pronounce Anneke's full name? Something I've always wondered but never wanted to ask :p

It ain't a stupid question..
Actually some people often wonder and post here how to do that;)
You can hear her pronouncing her name on an old finnish interview that is online on Sand & Mercury
Just click on the mini banner, and then go in goodies->sounds, you'll find it there ;)

Yes, that is a very stupid question. It was also the first thing i asked on the old forum, it started about 7 pages of debate too. Eventually Anneke told us to pronounce it 'A-neck-eh'....... i think!!

Yes, I was also looking back into the archive. Because I remembered that this was asked before. So it's not a stupid question at all, for non-dutch people. This is the answer by Anneke herself!

Anneke wrote:
Here we go... "A-neck-eh" Looks silly now doesn't it? And G is a G in Dutch.

And indeed check Sand & Mercury.

Thanks for the answer!

I went to that site but for some reason all the menus at the top only show half of the first choice. For example, under "Goodies" I can see half of the words "Monthly Bootlegs", but not the bottom half of the words or any of the menu choices under it. Stupid computer! :p

If the Sand & Mercury website doesn't work well, try the direct link to this interview:

I suppose dutch is a difficult language for people to learn! The most people can't pronounce our "g" and "r".
