I just emailed Spin magazine begging them to review Home. I even offered to send them a copy of the album that I would purchase at my own expense if need be. I feel a little bit better.

Well, kind of. Not really angry, maybe just frustrated. I mean, I see Lacuna Coil on the covers of a half-dozen magazines and I've heard their new album and I'm not really all that impressed. I know what you mean. It would be nice to see the Gathering on the cover of at least one magazine over here in the states. I've seen Lacuna Coil (well Christina at least) on the cover of numerous magazines. Much respect to them for really making it, but I think the hype is getting to the level of being ridiculous.(especially considering most of the attention is because Christina is pretty much an international sex symbol now.

I just emailed CNN.com to ask them to review "Home" and even said that I'd buy them a copy of the album for them! COME ON! It's a great album! Why is it so hard to get notice in America??

Damn I can't wait until I get my package from the End :o . There is only one thing in these pictures that bothers me - the "Karmacode" album from Lacuna Coil which is a big disappointment. It doesn't fit to the great music from The Gathering 8)

First of all hello to everybody :)
I'm Italian and I don't speak english very very well, so please forgive me if you don't understand :P

Home has been released last friday, here in Italy.
I can't wait to buy it, I'm really curious and impatient...

All the reviews I've read lately say that this album is wonderful, so I can't wait to see if it's true (it's not hard to believe!)

I agree. It is a huge downer for me, also. It's in the pic because it was in the order. I bought it even though I only like 3 songs on it.

I got my copy yesterday from Amazon, very annyoing as they claim eyerthing that i will receive the record on it's release date -->liar..

I knew all songs before (who did not..) so i was just exicted about the artwork and the lyrics.
I was really frustrated at first because the lyrics were quite different from what I expected them to be... (alway thought it it the karma which wrapt in fear :o )
The artwork is okay, quite good for Shortest Day, A Noise Server, Forgotten and Box. I think that the double pages should have the same style, i really dislike thouse sudden changes in colour and background motives.

The album hit the stores in Finland today and I got mine minutes after the local store opened its doors (for two weeks I've been asking them when they'll get it, hehe) and came straight home to listen to it. I resisted the temptation to download this album, so I survived this far with those three tracks available from official sources.

And the album was just what I knew it would be. Easily album for the year for me and one of the best albums I've ever heard. It's just an amazing mix between if_then_else, Souvenirs and Black Light District - such a perfect combination!

Simply an amazing album! I love it!
