I got the album today!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D Thanks for this great and amazing new album. I love the music and most of all I am very glad that there is a beautiful booklet this time with lyrics - it was a pitty that in the booklet for "Souvenirs" were no lyrics so thanks a lot for printing them this time :) :)

I like the booklet-artwork. It's very simple, sure. But pretty.
And I'm also glad, that you find the lyrics in it.
I already had a few good laughs today, because of some misheard things...

whoaaa I got is also and with a promopicture!!! The booklet is great! And indeed very nice that the lyrics are in it :D

I downloaded the cd already in March, but when you have the orginal the music sounds much better haha! I really love the new album! Some songs make me cry because of the melody and how Anneke sings :) Home is in my top 3 of favorites albums from The Gathering!!

I bought the album too! :green: Great booklet indeed! Unfortunately, no t-shirt or pictures or whatever with my purchase, but I don't mind, the shirt will come at the Paradiso-gig!

Oh yeah, and under the lyrics of Home it says 'For Henk'. So the song was indeed written for Henk. I always thought that, although I did not know they meant 'the finest men' instead of 'the finest man'

Hi all,

I have only heard the first four tracks and ´Your Troubles Are Over´ yet (I want to savour it; albums like these are few and far between), but I just had to say that this album is inconceivably good.

The new ´two-to-three songs-in-one´-approach just goes to show how some musicians are still able to come up with plenty of fresh ideas. Together with Ihsahn´s equally stuffed-to-the-gills-with-ideas album ´The Adversary´ and the sure to be brilliant new Tool, it´s tied for album of the year. So Katatonia, my former friends, take note.

And the Ulveresque (or is it Radioheadesque, as in ´The Gloaming´?) ´Alone´ ably demonstrates that the Gathering is one of the best bands anywhere, ever.

So any and all kind people of the G, you rock. Seriously.

Regs to all,
T

"HOME" WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME!

WOW!!!! this is the "new" music I was waiting for... (for a long time :-|)
I know the band for 7 years now, but this is "THE" album for me!!!!

I feel a story from the beginning till the end on this album, does someone knows something about this?

It feels like it's about life to me...

ps, also the first time that I'm on this homepage... SUPERPAGE!

Fortunately for me, I happen to like both the older style and each of the newer progressions, so it's almost like getting two bands for the price of one in some ways.

haha, good point, same goes for me :green:

And for me  And for many more who write in this forum, sure! :D

I am angry.

Well, kind of. Not really angry, maybe just frustrated. I mean, I see Lacuna Coil on the covers of a half-dozen magazines and I've heard their new album and I'm not really all that impressed. I've listened to the streaming version of "home" on 3voor12 whateveritis and I KNOW that it's not a totally "radio-friendly" album, but GOD DAMN it's SO much better than Lacuna Coil's new album. Argh. I don't ever want TG to compromise their art for the sake of commercial success, but I just wish that they would be rewarded more for the art that they do make.
