I like this Gathering release, as well as every song on it. I was wondering what you think it is on the album cover around the oak tree, snow or sand? Do you under sand my question?

Looks like snow to me: the tree has dropped its leaves, the shadows are long and there appears to pairs of ski tracks, which all points to winter. It would also tie in to the first song, "On Most Surfaces (inuït)", which is all about snow. :)

That leads me to a question of my own; is "(inuït)" a subtitle for the song, an attribution, or something else?

Aren't inuits like Eskimos? :) That also explains the snow. ^^

yeah, inuits are like eskimos. :) Some evolved and moved to Canada. The Americans ripped off their igloo idea and started making them for dogs.

There's a hotel made of ice somewhere. I bet it's cool. :x

It seems SO cool!

I wanna visit Finland one day, but first I need to learn to say something in Suomi, beyond 'kiitos'

I always assumed it was snow. You don't really get trees like that around sand.

*groan* That's a really bad pun... :) It looks like an interesting place to visit, though.

These might help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_profanity
(I found it trying to find the meaning of "perkele", which was a common phrase on the Nightwish "From Wishes to Eternity" DVD.)
