A re-release of Downfall??? ... kinda weird, anyway this are great news for all those Old-school-Always-diehard lovers roaming around there, i'm anxious to listen the bonus material.
the artwork looks sweet.

* I have this really old VHS tape, with a gathering gig played in Tel Aviv (i guess), with Bart growling his soul out, the songs: Heartbeat Amplifier and A Passage to Desire... there's also Marike with them.

What about an Almost A Dance's rehearsal demo with the first line up on vocals?

This release has a pre-production demo which consist of songs of the second album but with me on vocals. So it´s not a rehearsal as such, but more or less a "work in progress"...

And yes, some of the songs on AaD had my lyrics, though not all were finished. The ones that were completed were:

Her Last Flight (Alexandria) ("Her last Flight " on AaD)
The Sky People
Of Pavilions and Fountains ("Like Fountains" on AaD)

It would be great if we were able to listen to Almost A Dance stuff with Bart on vocals...much better tha Niels...isn't it?

Bart, is there any possibility to upload them? Or even release them on CD....

I do really believe that Almost A Dance had awesome music and excellent sound - much much better than Always!But the vocals were not so good...

As much as i would like to upload some material, I´m afraid you´ll have to have a little patience. I still need to dust off some of the tapes in my garage and transfer them to a less vulnerable medium... I do believe I still have some live recordings from that period, if they´re not used for the Downfall CD I promise to upload them here, is that a deal? The pre-production recordings will be released on the Downfall re-issue ofcourse.

I can post the lyrics if people are interested... (or would there be a risk of streetcleaner soiling himself again? )

I mailed the label which is going to release this Downfall compilation and a guy named Roel answered me...

They will release a CD with a lot of rare stuff and a DVD stricty limited to 1,000 copies!

Let's see...

Bart, will you ever try to play again with the band? For example as a 20 year anniversary concert in two years time?

Well I think that they dont want to have growls AT ALL in their music and I really don't have any problem with that...

It would be amazing if they had as guests in a special concert their friends from the past ( Bart, Hugo, Jelmer )!Even Niels would be nice to join, just for the history of the event...to fill in the history of this band!

But all these are dreams.... Let's dream!
