Does anyone know what kind of microphone(s) does Anneke use when she sings live??
And if somebody knows some technical specifications of the microphone, that would be even better !!

:D

I think she uses the same microphone that Tarja (Nightwish, well ex-Nightwish) used on "Wishmaster" - a "FantasMic". ;)

Depends on on the period...
Currently she's using a Shure Beta 58 but she used to sing with a Audix OM6 (especially on the Sleepy Buildings era).
I also have pictures of some years ago (htmap/ite) where it was a Beta 87 on the mic stand.

For specifics, you should simply visit the websites of both brands ;)

Well, i care, because i'm a singer, and the microphone you choose is going to affect a lot in your sound... of course, you have to have talent, but a good mic is always important...

Anyway, i was already thinking of buying a Shure 58...

Thanx everybody ! :flower:

what you should do is try the mics... Maybe a Shure sm or beta 58 won't be a good choice for you...
You could also try these
Audix OM 5 or 6 or 7
Shure beta57, beta87
(and if you are rich) Neumann kms 105 (this one is a bit the rolls royce of the singing mics ;))

Thanx Burn !!!!

I'll follow your wise advices... and, well, i'm definitely not rich, so i'll try one of the Shure mics.

Thanx !! :flower:

I'm personally not enthusiast about Sennheiser vocal mics... the very expensive condensers are surely good, but in general, if you have low budget, better go for Shure, Audix, Beyer has some good ones too (Opus series)
