my birthday present for Anneke

Anneke or Hannah is a name from Hebrew origin and means ‘favoured grace’.
It is connected to the story of Hannah who was barren and prayed for a son who latter became the mighty prophet Samuel.

And she vowed a vow, and said: to Lord of Hosts, if You will look upon the affliction of Your bondswoman, and You will remember me, and You will not forget Your bondswoman and You will give Your bondswoman a man-child, then I shall give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head. (I Sam 1:11)

Hannah starts with the letter combination Cheth-Nun which stands for Grace and is the root for chanoon; for God being full of mercy. To be in favour with the Lord is the same as to have his mercy/chesed upon you, written Cheth-Samech-Daleth or 8+60+4 = 72

Interestingly, one of the secret ways to connect God to 72 is to count the letters of his name in full, so Jahweh, written Yod-He-Vaw-He becomes Yod-vaw-daleth + He-yod +Vaw-yod-vaw + He-yod = 10+6+4+5+10+6+10+6+5+10 = 72 :lol:
