As a longtime fan of Octavia Sperati, I hope the band does continue. Perhaps Silje could do another album or gigs with the band during breaks from The Gathering's touring schedule.

I agree with you about Silje. Looking at her singing resume on her MySpace page, she is a trained singer and very talented. The song "Don't Believe a Word" on her MySpace page could convince Gathering fans that she is going to be a good fit with the band.

Regarding the rest of Octavia Sperati, I like them, and I hope they continue either as Octavia Sperati or as members of other bands. I got into them a few years ago when I was looking for something besides The Gathering. I liked the heavier doom sound. (I'm not sure whether I'd call them a doom metal band, but I hear some elements.)

Well I did a very little change so you know when to rush to the site.... and it's not my fault... seriously the site is 99% ready... but the mix got a little delay cause the mixer got sick... :S unless such a thing happens, the site should be live in a week...

Yeah, I did not notice how attached to entering the site I was, until this maintenance happened... So, I´m looking very forward to it too, Burn, so far it looks great!

I'd prefer to have an untrained and not-so-talented singer with a lot lot of personnality/touch over a dull polished always-in-tune singer.
(I'm already seeing the "...no you don't" coming, but you see where I'm getting at)
I hope Silje (as there apparently are fewer and fewer doubts about her being the one) isn't in the second category.

One thing that's important to me is that the new singer can sing the old material live. For you Nightwish fans, just think about the way the new singer sings the Tarja-era material.

I think Silje will do a good job singing the Anneke-era material.

I'm so very curious about this Silje's story.
I have begun to listen to Silje' s voice.
But I'm curious how she sings into TG Song!
