So far I have listened to the cd a few times and watched the first dvd with the concert, and "Homemade" on he second: the rest is still to be seen...but for now...I'm incredibly happy and amazed...the gig was absolutely awesome....fantastic setlist (although I was secretly hoping for Kevin's Telescope...), stunning performance from the band, it gave me the shivers from the beginning to the end...and "Black Light District" is something that cannot be described...the power, the fury, the sweetness....the genius....

I didn't find it to be bad in anything...sound and image-wise...so all in all I think it's a superb Gathering release...thanks to the band, for another milestone in their brilliant history..

 if we have Kevin's telescope live again then René has broken his contract to never play that song any more ;) During ASR recording it was an exception cause he played the bass instead ;)

dunno , probably he didnt like the way that song ended up on Nighttime Birds... it's no secret the process of that album left he band somewhat frustrated... I guess it would have sound less metal more rock orientated if the band had had full control... (just listen to the demos ;))

Hans doesn't know what he's talking about, Kevin's Telescope end making the bridge to Nighttime Bird's beginning is just great. Those percussions are an awesome classic, I love them :D It somewhat makes me think of what Pain of Salvation used (^^) between In the Flesh and Ashes, which is the only better example imho :)
Back on topic, I'd like to have ANS but it's impossible yet :(

I have few questions.

I have ordered DVD + shirt pack and it's shipped a week ago. I live in Croatia.
How can I see when my package will come? And also, what 2S/3S... code mean?

Thanks. :D

I didn't know that....how odd, KTis one of my favourite TG songs, both musically and lirically speaking...but what was with A sound relief? It was cut from te show to the dvd....at least I think, as there's no KT on the dvd, and I saw it on....you tube could be?...

ANS rocks!
Great performance, great set, great sound, great crowd.
No complaints from me about sound or image quality. It's just fraggin' awesome!
And compliments to the Chilean crowd for adding that extra bit of enthousiasm that makes it just that little bit better..
TG Roars!

well.. about ans

I've seen it a couple times and I could say that sound could have been better maybe, and those damn camera shots drive me crazy in the first minutes of the show... sometimes I want to concentrate in something but shots change every two seconds :-? ... but however, after a while you can accept that, maybe it's nice for some people

but, at least for me, worst thing is that band performance is not 100%, even much less than 100%.. anneke doesn't reach some tones and I'm really tired about that goat voice (I don't know if it's a correct expression in english) which she use lately, it seems she forgot that beautiful soft waves vibrato of 90s or something...

the good thing of dvd is the crowd... a lot of passion and loyalty... they love band, that for sure

try the stereo track, no the 5.1 mix. Annekes voice is just so poor on the poor 5.1 mix.

Im still waiting for the north american release... I still think the european version (With the t-shirt, of course) is too expensive.

it's for sure I see her singing has maybe the minus point of the DVD... That's a pity... But on the other hand I'm glad there was no overdubs and all that shit...
