Interesting, more or less for the fans who now do not have to pay a fortune to buy singles such as Kevin's Telescope. Let's wait for a more official confirmation by the band, shall we?

Hoang is right.. it's really milking it till the last drop...
It's such a way to reprint the singles... CM probably saw the price you could get of that on ebay...

Even if they make something out of it like the deluxe of Nighttime Birds (which is a very beautiful object), I think these artwork still stigmatize the band in a sort of metal sphere where it doesn't belong since 10 years...
Does Counting Money also releases other boxes for their other 'cult' bands (Tiamat, Samael, Moonspell)?

I have some info:

Century Media is going to release a box set of The Gathering in January because of their 20th anniversary. This will be a 10 CD box which includes all CM releases of The Gathering (see details below). The albums will be CDs in slipcases. Besides the albums, the box will also include a 64-page booklet with all lyrics as well as detailed liner notes which I wrote about every album.
The box itself is of very thick cardboard.

The box will include the following CDs:

1. Mandylion

2. Nighttime Birds

3. How To Measure A Planet 1

4. How To Measure A Planet 2

5. Superheat

6. If_Then_Else

7. In Motion (audio files of the “In Motion” DVD)

8. Sleepy Buildings

9. Accessories 1

10. Accessories 2

Damn! I was expecting something about a HTMAP? reissue, and then paff, I got a 10 CD Box !!! can't wait for it, specially for the liner notes
I always thought Century Media will gonna release a box someday, but containing all the singles instead. Hope they have it in mind. :crossing fingers:
btw some kind of book revealing deep dark secrets of the band members would be a great idea too.

Can we also expect Vinyl editions?

Why is everything always limited! I thought the purpose of cd's is to make them available to people. Not to sell out as quick as possible and to create rarities. Or maybe this is one more example of items limited to a number of copies which in practice never get sold out.

From what I know it's limited to 3000 copies worldwide.

personally (i'm not pointing my finger at you goncalobcunha and any of you) i don't care how limited it is.

i just hope it's a beautiful item.
