The Gathering

Hi all,

Sorry for our total lack of updating news around the band. The thing is, we are
really busy with several things. We are, of course, working on our new album
which will be out around spring 2009. I could say a lot of things, but it's more wise to
wait and work.

Soon we will come up with more news, and if nothing goes wrong you will hear
one ore two new songs this year.

I'm not so sure. I've met Silje, and the smile on the young lady's face and her general manner don't quite match up. Not in my experience anyway. (I should add that while Silje was happy to chat for a little while, she was also in a hurry to get the band rounded up and back on the tour bus, because they had a long drive ahead of them.) She does look quite a lot like Silje.

Since the photo is small, it's hard to tell whether the woman is Silje.

I based my guess on the fact the Octavia Sperati announced on its MySpace page in July that the band was taking a break. It would be cool if she sung as a guest on the album.

the girl with hans is not silje definitively...

although it could be, it would be great... I've heard thereabouts that octavia sperati is taking a break... so silje could be available... she has an amazing voice (even better than anneke's goat voice of these latest years)...

ok... it's a "floody" comment for someone maybe (this is a forum man, c'mon!! we can post freely I guess.. ) but you can't deny that with silje in front, nobody could remember to anneke with that ... well... it's necessary changing style too... someone said that I like just 1992 -1995 stuff.... mmm I'm think something closer to 1995 - 1997 would be great for me.. ...

oh!.. I almost forgot it...... nice pics... but I prefer something for my ears, so I'm very interested about that new single before newyear...

mmm... I was talking about her vibrato (in spanish is vibrato.. I don'y know how to say in english, I think it's the same thing)

However... in 90s anneke used to sing with a beautiful vibrato style, with soft and long waves... it was very nice for your ears, incredible.... she could sing with a lot of power or softly.. well, that didn't matter.. it was great anyway.. it was a kind of female soft metal style... unique I'd say


but now... well, she doesn't sing like that anymore.... often her vibrato sounds like almost a goat, sheep or something... specially when she sings live..
