I think its the space shuttle "challenger" disaster of 1986.

I remember that day. Not the first, or last tragedy of it's kind, though.

That really breaks my heart to see that video -
I also remember that day, I was only 7 years old or so at the time...
It's sadder to see it now as an adult, I guess maybe some of our sensitivies aren't as refined when we are still children.

That makes sense now why ASR menu screen always bothered me, even though I wasn't clear what it was or what exactly was happening... til now.
I wish they'd have picked a different video for it.

I'm quite sure that it's NOT the Challenger exploding. It looks quite like a Titan rocket explosion I recently saw. Could be an Ariane also...

No... it is actually from the film Koyaaniqatsi.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085809/ There is a discussion about the Atlas rocket in the message board.

The film was released in 1982. So it is not Challenger.

The original soundtrack is by Philip Glass. I must admit that I love the music of Philip Glass, but Travel works as good or even better than Glass's music.

Thanks for the info. For the music of the title, I thought it was the keyboards part of Waking Hour.

Yes, I was talking about the orginal soundtrack of Koyaanisqatsi.

The titles of A Sound Relief is actually the first notes of Waking Hour.

Ok, so I'm not crazy!
I've never notified this before yesterday because, never received my dvd before, so this was my first watch with original stuff. And what a quality of image and sound!

Thanks for the clarification, Vince!
That's a bit of a relief... (no pun intended :) )

Vince, you almost sound as if you might be a certain keyboard player, given your knowledge about this topic... :D
in which case, I'm sorry if I blew your cover :)

But then again, I have been known to be wrong, from time to time :)

It was a friend copy, I never download(ed) Gathering stuff! I'm a so "hardcore" fan to ever buy all in original! :green: But I'm agree with what you said. Thanks!
