now what I'm gonna say is evil too ;)
we should have had a song before the end of this year... so well, if the album is postponed to may, I wont be surprised.. but hey, the wait for a next record will be around 3 years so one couple of weeks more or less.. I'm not counting that much in details ;)

it's from pleasure ;) as you ask I'll say that in the bits I heard, I could hear almost all periods of the band speaking of atmospheres and harmonies (even some Almost A Dance sphere ;)) But all of it is in a shape TG never took till now.
It's difficult to say more than this, cause it has to be experienced...
And as pince said yesterday, technically, you cant be disappointed cause it's the 9th album and until now (and I agree with him) the odd numbered albums were always superior to the even albums... ;)

everyone seems so pleased. lucky you.

for sure I'm very excited about the good news but still so anxious about not enjoying the upcoming songs and the new vocalist(s).
Of course I cannot criticize what I didn't hear yet. talking about Octavia music or singer is not the point too.
It's just some new vocal lines can change the whole essence of music. The view and the feeling I have of it.

well I'm wasting time tonight. sorry to make you read this.
please, at least don't take my words too seriously... cause this is just me. ^

I think Hans and the guys have good heads over their shoulders. I really highly doubt they would pick a bad singer to front their band. I know people have doubts because of the way other legendary femme metal bands pick mediocre replacement singers. Not that TG are femme metal, but you know what I mean right? lol :flower:

I don't have any doubt about the ability of the band. the problem is only about my taste in music. I can't explain it. I mean there's no theory for this.

and actually if you'd be in the case of not enjoying the new songs, whatever the reason... it's always a disappointment if you cherish a band... but well, the world is full of beautiful music so just enjoy the rest of it ;)

Thank you Hans for the news about the new album, especially at this time. Its great to know this before xmas, and to know what we can all look forward too.

As i said in the 'The Gathering Working On Their 9Th Album' thread, i would have hoped for a lead singer without guests. Im still very pleased to know the album date is getting closer though, thats all that matters now.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to the whole of TG. :D
