Well it was quite obvious that it was going to happen, the band lost a lot of followers due to Anneke's leaving. Their loss I say.

Great news!

Can't wait to hear something about the new vocalist. Does she sound like Anneke? Or maybe like Angela Gossow? Tarja Turunen? Has Dawn Crosby returned from the grave to join TG? More input, please!! :green:

I've already mentioned that I guessed the Silje Wergeland (http://www.myspace.com/siljewergeland) from Octavia Sperati could be a singer on the album (based on Hans' post from September--and my original post that followed):

I do have some other guesses, however:

Manda Ophuis from Nemesea (http://www.myspace.com/mandaophuis): I guessed her under a different member name (chicagofan) about a year and a half ago. (I don't live in Chicago anymore, so I changed my member name.) Manda's from The Netherlands and likes The Gathering. If she was on the album, however, I would guess that she'd only be a guest singer.

I'm sure others have guessed this singer--Marclea Bovio (http://www.myspace.com/marcelabovio): She has done several projects (Elfonia, Stream of Passion, Ayreon). Search for her on YouTube. She's done covers of The Gathering.

I'd also guess that Marjolein could be one of the guest female singers. I'm sure other have guessed her as well.

The Nemessa chick is not one of the singers. At least that is what she told me a couple of months ago. I don't think she was lying. She's happy with her own band, plus I think her boyfriend or husband is in her band.

I thought to take a look at the forum because i am so curious about who is gonna be the new singer. Then i read everything you all said about Silje etc. Very cool, because i discovered new good singers!
The girl Alexandra Bernard form Beyond D Lusion sings very much like Anneke, but i dont think they will come up with a second Anneke.
I hope that she will blow our minds with her voice, not our ears :tw:
