Of course Tarja would be so wrong(And she's not that good either).
I have to say again i don't judge Silje in any comparison with Anneke. It's simple because i didn't only speak for older songs,but for the new album too,and she completely makes it unbearable for me.
If i go below the waste,she goes too much further,making one of my favourite bands,TG,unbearable to listen...
I already told you,the guests on the album are fine and much better and fit better. And i'm sure many of the auditioned singers would be too.

from what I read, you dont like the musical of the west pole anyway... I think you should blame the band as a whole instead of focussing on Silje just because she's the newest member...

I think Silje was marvelous with "Leaves" which is not one of my fav songs of TG, she gave it her personal touch and i think she was more bold and daring, she sung upfront and didnt give a rats ass about anyone, i think she only needs time to take over the stage, i had some doubts of the old songs sounding THAT GOOD, so for me she completely passed the test!

She was a great choice for the band, can hardly wait to hear a full set!

I agree with you, I think Leaves was the best of the old songs (from the YT vids I've seen), that was fantastic. And some of the others had a few awkward lines, e.g. the first verse line of Analog Park but overall she was good on the old material.

And saying Tarja is not that good, or Blaze Bayley is better than Bruce Dickinson, I will never understand some people :wink:

Just found Solicitude by Octavia Sperati on Youtube. If this is the song she sent in I can understand why TG wanted to have her. It's really beautiful and intense and I can imagine it being on TG's repertoire...
