Production/recording: 7/10 (I'm not too fond of Rene's fuzzy guitar tone, I don't know whether it's because of his amp(s) or bad overdrive/distortion unit(s); moreover a noise supressor, on and off, wouldn't be a luxury, would it?) Then again, bass and vocals were recorded very well.

The more I think about the album the stronger I wish that there had been only one singer on it, and that's Silje.

1. Capital Of Nowhere 10/10
This song reminds me of Waking Hour. In that it starts out as one song and evolves into something much different than you would think.

2. The West Pole 10/10
From start to finish it is perfect! Silje and the music melt perfectly together on this song.

3. No One Spoke 10/10
I liked this song a lot, but it took me some listens before it passed some of the other songs. The chorus is breathtaking. Frank's spaced out keys. Marjolein bass work on this song, and this album is excellent.

4. No Bird Call 10/10
The darkest song on the album.
Hauntingly perfect.

5. Pale Traces 9/10
Marcela is great. Great atmosphere

6. Treasure 8/10
This is the most upbeat song on the album. Reminds me of "Your Troubles Are Over".

7. A Constant Run 8/10
I can't wait to hear these songs live, and this one will rock live!

8. You Promised Me A Symphony 7/10
I like the lyrics. I'm not a huge Tori Amos fan. This song reminds me of most Tori Amos songs.

9. All You Are 7/10
Decent song but, again, I don't like the style of vocals on this song as much as most of the others. I also wouldn't mind a couple of songs sung in the styly like she does with OS. I guess that didn't fit in with the music on this album. Maybe the next album.

10. When Trust Becomes Sound 6/10
This song has grown on me. Despite that, I can't give it more than a 6. It is best listened to on the headphones. imo

I've heard the album several times now, and my ranking looks like this:

The uptempo songs are good, but I prefer the slower ones. My biggest problem is the produktion: too flat, too noisy, not enough punch.

I can't help myself, but "TWP" reminds me of the Paatos-album "Silence Of Another Kind"...

Today I rate it a 7/10.

Things change over time, don't they? Hehe.
