I tried hard and gave the new CD many spins. Still it's somehow not my cup of tea I can't connect to the sound(mix) and also to most of the song structures...anyway it's just my humble opinion, I give "the westpole" 5/10...not more, nor less

Yeah that's what happened to me, and just when I thought it was finally clicking with me, I ended up not going back to it at all and now it's just a dust collector on my shelf. Perhaps I'll go back to it at some later time, but right now my opinion is that about half of it is decent and the other half pretty much entirely forgettable.

Apparently I'm the minority that doesn't like Pale Traces... the way this song wallows in its mawkish sentimentality sickens me. When I first listened to this song (half wondering how long this cliché-ridden disaster was going to go on) I nearly broke out in laughter when the strings where introduced. Seriously, 10/10, people?!
