To Shrink: Elannontie 9 is by the airport (which is about 18km north of central Helsinki), this Ankkarock festival area is about 15km further north from airport. Here you can see both the airport and Ankkarock Festival area. http://www.ankkarock.fi/index.php?group=7&page=25 (pls PM me if more info is needed)

If I may suggest, if you are reserving hotel rooms, go for those near central Helsinki. Those hotels that are close the airport are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and there is not many bars around or things to do. Anyway, most people come to Ankkarock by train (which is just a few euros from central Helsinki). And it’s easy to find there: ask or just follow the trail of teenagers dressed in black from the central railway station :D

Since TG seems to be one of the headliners on Saturday, and the last artist usually stops playing abound nine-ten in the evening at Ankkarock on Saturday. I would assume they get a slot after six in the evening. Hard to guess this now and then there’s also the risk of changes during the last days.

To Jeffs: Yes, you should be able to get near the front if you push your way in there from the side...

Heey, just ordered my ticket and booked my flight!

My other problem is: how to book a hotel without Credit card (please a hotel which you can check in till late, I arrive at 22:20 at night!)

Maybe some other Dutchies?

Great, Kennito and I are staying for NIN, and it seems all the group of us who are coming are staying @ the Crowne Plaza. BTW Helsinki is soooooooooo expensive :o *drops dead

I'm really considering to go there since I've found a 200 eur flight from Brussels.
Can some finnish people be so kind to help us in founding a cheap hotel in Helsinki ?

If I go, I am going through New York! I will probably stay a week in Finland (hey, since I am already going..doesn't hurt to get to know the country a bit! ahah).. as soon as I have a better Idea of my intinerary I will let you know.. For now I think I am going on the 1st of august and staying a week or so....

I will attend both days of the fest as well :)
