Dear people,

Soon we will announce all dates, which include the mentioned South American ones, but also dates in North America and Europe. We will play some songs from our new album, which we work on right now. We understand we have some old albums too, so we will play songs from every 'Anneke' album. Everybody will be satisfied! We're still busy with booking festivals, as we want to play as much as we can.

We are looking forward to rehearse again and start this tour, as it is an important one, especially for us, after all these dark weeks. We hope to see you again, all of you!

But first the new album. Nothing more then the best Gathering album ever.

Cheers, on behalf of The Gathering,
Hans

Any word on any British dates? I'm going to be in England from the 27th June to 27th July, so it'd be pretty killer if they could schedule one around then :P

Doesn't look likely that they'll come to Australia, so this is my only chance ;)

If Behemoth can do it, I'm sure TG can :P

I would strongly agree, please please please come down to Australia :D

I think the last time i have seen the guys was back home in Hamburg but that was quite a while before i moved "Down Under".

If you do come to Australia guys, please _don't_ skip Perth if at all possible.
(Having said that I'd probably trip over east if you would decide to come at all)

I've been a bit out of the loop on the news surrounding the band, does anyone have an idea what Hans is referring to ?

I can't read german, but according to Blabbermouth:

Quote:
According to a posting on the German web site Whiskey Soda, Holland's THE GATHERING have been forced to cancel their European tour due to an unspecified illness suffered by one of the bandmembers or their family members. No further information is currently available.

As previously reported, a new THE GATHERING track, entitled "Your Troubles Are Over", has been made available for streaming. Check it out: Windows Media, Real Media. The track "Shortest Day" is still available for download at this location (MP3, 3.8 MB). Both cuts come off the Dutch rock act's new album, "Home" (view cover at this location), due in stores today (April 18) via The End Records in North America.

THE GATHERING made their debut at this year's South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas on March 16 at Lava Lounge. The band also ventured out for a small U.S. tour with GIANT SQUID and UNEXPECT as part of their Homelands world tour to promote the new CD.

 If that's the case, get well soon and see a doctor; we don't need any bandmembers dying of unspecified illnesses there will be time for shows later.

I would wait for an official statement before panicking.

If it's true someone is sick though, best wishes to him/her to get better.
