Well, if they will play on my b-day and I want to be there, I think I need to save some money fast for a ticket to south america...
So it's just for the lucky few who can celebrate their b-day at a Gathering gig...
And there's always next year

Hi all!
Since Istanbul concerts are canceled (postponed?), I was hoping to go to the Drachten concert if I can. I'll be in Amsterdam on the 26th of January. So, can anyone tell me how can i go there, how can i get tickets, how much it'll cost me etc etc...

Hey! The best way to go to Drachten is to take the train ..
When you're at the central station you should be able to choose (depending on the time) between an intercity to Leeuwarden, or to Amersfoort first... and there get a train towards Leeuwarden

Get out in Heerenveen (one of the last stops)
When there.. look for a bus number 100 towards Groningen..
This one will bring you to drachten.. where you should get out at van knobelsdorffplein (Drachten)

From here its about 10 minutes walking... in total i think the travel time will be around 3 hours from Amsterdam.. so beware of that!

You can reserve tickets on the website of Iduna ( http://www.iduna.nu) .. just go to 'Agenda' --> find The Gathering in the list..

and you will see two small circles in the little pink line next to the flyer of the concert.. choose the second one which says "reserveren"

You don't have to pay yet.. you can just do that when you arive at the venue!

We are in for the pre-meeting!
It was really great in Sneek to see each other before the gig!

I don't know any place in Drachten that is wothwhile but as long as they have some descent food and beers, it's fine by me

So count us in for 4 persons.

It will be wise to reserve tabels again, since it looks like there will be between 10 and 15 people at least.

Something else now:
At the gig in 'het Bolwerk' in Sneek I met someone from (I believe it was) Indijk, anyways...she lives nearby Woudsend. We agreed that we could carpool the next time to the gig in Drachten...but unfortunately I lost her telephonenumber and I can't rembering her name
The only thing I rembered is that she received the drum sticks from Hans at the gig in Sneek...the drumsticks with the autographs of the band were for her son of 5 years old, I believe.
