The Gathering

Date: 4th August 2007.
Event: Ankkarock.
Location: Vantaa, near Helsinki, Finland.
Capacity: 10,000 approximately.

Festival location is within 1 hour's travel from cental Helsinki.

The best news since last summers performance in Finland! :P I'm so happy!

Thank you guys so much for making my year 2007 worth of waiting. I'm hoping to hear Travel which I love so much.

I'm wondering is the Gathering giving us 2 days gig? I looked their tour calendar and I'm confuced. :surprised:

Naah I don't think so at least I have never heard that kind of thing before but it's nice to keep on dreaming for 2 night show. 8)

Amazing!!! I couldn't go to Ruisrock this summer and the NL show in May that I had tickets for was cancelled.

More than likely the final date hasn't been set yet - it's a two-day festival, so both dates are listed for now. Last year tickets were 35 euros for one day. I'm hoping there'd be at least one more good band for me to enjoy, but I'm definitely going for TG!

I must be blind - Hans wrote OR so it mean they are performing jus one day. And yes my english is quite bad. I'm going to see tG in any cost. :green:

By the way is there a chance to buy the Gathering t-shirts? If it's possible I hope there are smaller sizes too and not just XXL all the time.

Oh my god! :o I though that the Ruisrock gig was kind of once in a lifetime -experience, but now I have a chance to see the band second time! :o I've never been really interested about Ankkarock, but now it seems like I have to go there. Hope I'll get some time and friends to come there with me.

This is incredible! A couple of years ago I couldn't even dream of them coming to Finland and now this is the second time within such a short time :). So exciting.

Same here. Although the more metal-oriented festivals(Tuska, Nummirock) might not be fitting for TG.
I missed the Ruisrock gig, so I guess I'll have to go to Ankkarock then. :)

The Gathering seems to be playing on Saturday (http://www.ankkarock.fi).
The other bands on Saturday are not very interesting: the only bands I want to see are Maija Vilkkumaa and Zen Café, but maybe there'll be more. And I have to check The Sounds cause I've never heard of them before.

Yeah, glad to see TG playing to Saturday. Ticketsales starts on Mon 16.4.2007, cant remember if this festival been soldout in recent years or not...

Anyways, BRILLIANT!

Yes, not so intrested the others so all my time goes to TG.

The Sounds is band from Sweden..I believe their music is something rock..don't say much, I know.They had one hit song which I liked...but I don't remember its name :roll:

I'm thinking of going but the only other band on that day I know are Poisonblack.

I might go to this one as well as I will be in Asland Islands the weeks before and after the festival dates. I have to see if it's easy to come back from there to Helsinki and then go to the festival. Also I have to check how much it would cost me.
