Yeah, it´s also good chance for Polish fans to see the band, the village Mala Skala lies near our borders ( Mala Skala means Little Rock in Czech, although thanks to The Gathering it will be really the Greatest Rock this time :) )
Image
I´ve never been there, I don´t like festivals in general (I visit only that festivals where the Gathering play), the website http://www.benatskanoc.cz is still almost empty (and it´s only in Czech). Last year there were mainly Czech bands and Scorpions as a headliner, it seems that it should be rock festival, not metal. Promoters say that till the end of January they´ll publish more information. Tickets is already possible to buy.

See you all there

The Gathering were also confirmed by promoters of festival as the first foreign star. They already will not be able to announce better news. :)

Other bands (mainly Czech) :
Ales Brichta Band, Arakain, Baumaxa Xavier, Blackmailers, Burma Jones, Cirkus /SK/, Cechomor, Cok Vilém&By-Pass, Debillheads, Deda Mládek Illegal Band, Divokej Bill, Doctor PP, Doga, Eddie Stoilow, Hamleti, Hörstreich /D/, Hruza Michal, Jumping Drums, Kamil Strihavka&Leaders, Koller David, Kreyson, Krucipüsk, Krystof, Ledecky Janek, Mewa, Parademarche, Peha /SK/, Post-it, Skwor, Temperamento, The Ectasy Of Saint Theresa, Tri sestry 8) , Tublatanka /SK/, Walda Gang

there should be about 100 bands...

Hi and welcome Miss Winter,
it´s great it really seems the Gathering is gonna play here this summer again, well somewhere in the CZ - Mala Skala  , I don´t even know where exactly that village is, but I will find out all necessary info in time  . (It´s pitty that it will not be in a club in Prague, it would be easier) I also have to solve the question how to get there - bus, train...
I think it could be an adventure for foreigners in CZ but if I don´t get lost myself I´ll do my best to help you during your stay in the Czech Republic.

If you have any questions, you can always write me.

I hope we´ll see each other there.

Cool! :D Thanks, Maksy! It's great we won't be alone in Chech Republic! I really look forward to visit this great country. And getting to see The Gathering live is like two greatest dreams-come-true! :green: You know, I even think it's better for foreigners that the concert will take place not in Prague - more fun and more emotions!!! Chech Republic is a truly european gothic country, it's cool that a rock concert will take place in the open air in such a gothic place! At least I imagime it like this!

Sure it will be nice to meet Ukrainian fans, moreover my family came from your country, although I am not able to say single word in Ukrainian.
Well... I think I am not the right person who should say whether CZ is interesting-gothic country or not, because I live here and I tend to find fault maybe too much. However you will make your opinion personally.
You know, we also were trying to build socialism (communism) for about 40 years, and neither capitalistic modern times haven´t brought anything good when it comes to our gothic heritage. Prague - it´s a good example of inconsonance of modern and historical culture, but it´s just my opinion - and I´m just somobody who prefer countryside (nevertheless I live between coal mines 8) )
So don´t worry, every year thousands of turists visit Prague or another cities in CZ and maybe they are satisfied. If you are interested in history and gothic culture, you´ll probably see here what I don´t.
I have never been to Ukraina so I can´t compare our contries, but I can surely say that the most beautiful and interesting country in Europe is the Netherlands :) that´s my tip for holiday.

I know one festival in the Czech Republic which is held at place which maybe have gothic atmosphere

Okor - but it is not that one which we are going to visit. :-|

Here is a photo of village Mala Skala where the Gathering will play:

We will certainly be full of experience and emotions becase the GATHERING will be there! :P

no-one
There is no band on Earth which would have higher value than the Gathering!
So no chance for trade, enjoy your Linking Park gig :green:

What are Polish concert promoters doing, that they are not able to invite the Gathering to Poland? :-|

Yeah, the first picture is pretty much what I thought... But it's great anyway! I started listening to the Gathering in 1995 when they played truly, maybe even classically gothic music. So I've always imagined this kind of atmosphere on their concert. Probably you're right, Maksy, I'm trying to escape this communist atmosphere we have left from our past... I'm from the western part of Ukraine which is closer to russia and so further from Europe. So european arcitecture itself seems more gothic to me... maybe that's weird but it's how I see it. To me even winter trees are connected to Anneke's gothic voice... can't help it...
