All right, I wanted to fly into Seattle on Saturday but due to there being 2 really sick events going on in San Francisco Saturday and Sunday nights I decided to fly out Monday morning. I'm supposed to get into Seattle at 11 AM sharp. Hopefully this will still work out that we can share a ride to Vancouver.

On the band (A bit repeated from another post, LOL): What a fantastic performance!! :green: Everyone sounded brilliant, the mix was perfect even though I was right near the front, and the setlist was as good as it gets to me! A perfect mix of songs from old to new, and they played BLACK LIGHT DISTRICT! That amazed me, and the 'cameo' appearance by Stolen Babies' singer was a revelation, it suited the song perfectly IMO! Hearing "Probably Built in the Fifties" was almost as amazing! And meeting Anneke was equally awesome, even briefly! :D So sweet and humble, as everyone has said here already...

On the fans: just from reading this, I truly admire ALL of your dedication, to travel from such far away places to see the band here! It was simple for me, I only live half an hour from the venue! But to fly from Mexico/New Jersey/California, etc... wow, kudos to every one of you! You all made the night even better, as the band must've been inspired knowing such loyal fans were in attendance! :) Judging from the crowd reaction, it felt like THEY were the "headliners" at some points, and if not this time, hopefully next time they come back, they will be for real!

Vancouver: Lacuna Coil, The Gathering, Stolen Babies

The Gathering put on another great show playing a 53 min set of Analog Park, Even the Spirits are Afraid, Probably Built in the 50's, Saturnine, Monsters, Black Light District, Alone and Elenor.
Cyclingcolours was well represented with people from Mexico, England, Philly, Jersey, Toronto, Chicago, Oaklahoma, California forming the chearing section in the front. Ticket presales were 600 but looked smaller as the venue was very large.
I would have preferred to hear Anneke sing the end of BLD instead of Dominique from SB but I get what they were going for.
See everyone in Seattle tomorrow....

Oh, I know the guy from Mexico and he isn't THAT dedicated... he just happened to be taking a vacation in Vancouver when he heard about the concert taking place.

Hahaha just kidding, he's one of the biggest TG fans I know (and I've met some pretty hardcore fans in my time). Greetings to Abbath, LordCliff and the other travelers; I'm glad to hear it was a great show.

Greaaaaaat, im so happy so many fans could make it to the last 2 gigs of the northamerican tour, i was feeling a little bummed cause since i have to be looking for pics to update the tour blog, i came across some really ugly reviews of ppl ranting on the Gathering and well of course, there were some incredibly good, of lacuna fans that were actually gladly surprised by our dutchies' music, but i was starting to feel like the band wasnt feeling too much at home up there. So, totally cool you showed them how much America loves them :D :D :D

And cough cough cough.. phil, gerardo, aaron, eric: I HATE YOU ALL

Was a good gig for both Lacuna and The Gathering. Anneke said it was nice to have us Gathering fans there cause I guess some of the previous gigs there were mostly people that didnt know their music. It was a great show, I felt the guitar should have been louder though. jmo. The Gathering doesnt play the exact same set list every night like SOME BANDS (WINK) And they add a little here and there on the songs they do play. I love that about them.

They played Black Light District and brought out the stolen babies singer halfway through the song. I didnt think her screaming fit the song. It was great to take photos of it and doing things like this is great. Even when they don't work out 100%.

I'll post about THE SHOW OF MY LIFE, in the Seattle thread :D :D :D

The set list for this gig was GREAT. :green:

Analog Park
Even The Spirits Are Affraid
Saturnine
Probably Built In The Fifties
Monsters
Black Light District
Alone
Eleanor

I never saw him. I know he was in line before the show. Anyone get a picture of him?
