As will I. Never thought they'd come so close to me, not even an hour's drive. It'll be nice not having to drive to Cleveland or Toronto :)

...so who else went there besides me? :)

5 1/2 hour drive from Rockford, IL to Grand Rapids (my silly-broke ass had to sell several cd's just to afford gas) and only 35-40 mins or so opening for Lacuna Coil, but still it's the Gathering, so it was worth it I'd say :)
It's nice to see their songs change a bit over time, with what seemed to be a little bit of added improvisiation- I can't imagine Lacuna Coil ever taking risks like that with their live songs...

It was nice to chat with most of the band after the show & hopefully I didn't talk their ears off too much. A few familiar faces that night, Paul from November's Doom was there, and I briefly met Anthony3 for a couple minutes talking to Frank...
Hope everybody else who went had a good time, and hope everybody gets to catch them on tour this year. Class act. :D

This was the last of my 4 shows in 4 days on this tour...
Nice club and high enough stage you could see the bands from the back or sides without being in the first few rows.
Anneke had a little bit of the sniffles that night hope she is doing better.
I would say all 4 shows the Gathering were very well welcomed and hopefully some of the younger generation that was there that night wil get out the word :D
