Looking forward to this :D
Opera House is a great venue for shows.
Hopefully I can get my camcorder in and tape the show...

I caught some videos & pics last time in Montreal, but I did not enjoy doing so because it took me away from the show... but I am happy I have those moments.
That said, it's too bad they do not stop in Montreal again... it was fun last time. Anybody from Montreal going to Toronto to see the show? (Can't make it unfortunatly)
I'd like to know of any road trip, so that I can live it through all of you..
For those wanting to make the trip, WestJet offers one-way flight for 29$ or 49$...

Well, I'm planning a little road trip!
Toronto, Millvale and Grand Rapids. I have to rent a car because my friends are not available those dates... Anybody interested? Just send me a message and I'll pick you up in Toronto (or Montreal)!

Hey Heleaven

Just a heads up, if you're going to do all those shows, you should also do the Flint, MI show it's the day after Toronto (only 4 hour drive). I emailed Hans on this and this show is confirmed even though it's not listed here yet....

wow, it was incredible
They even went for an encore, which was surprising considering Lacuna Coil was supposed to be right affter.
Let's see, they did Alone, they did Shortest Day... They had what I thought was a triple punch with Saturnine -> Monsters -> Eleanor (quite intense), and while Monsters was the last song I expected to hear on stage they did a very cool performance of it where the song was sort-of over, and they moved on, and then they went right back to "if you come closer...".
Oh, and of course there was Alone, which is sort of staple now... Also Strange Machines, Liberty Bell and Probably Built in The 50's. I think that's it though I might be forgetting something.

The volume was just right! Thank you The Gathering for not blasting our eardrums right through the way Lacuna Coil did...

lol, Anneke also went ahead and compared us Canucks to Terrance and Philip. That was funny

Danielra nailed it!

And I must say, I was impressed especially with René's playing despite his permeating guitar troubles. That, my friends, is dedication.

This band is just great... the best stage presence I've ever seen. I've never encountered a more likable and down to earth band in my life. I mean that whole heartedly.

Also, thank you VERY much for taking copies of the Home vinyl LP on tour with you. That was a lovely surprise!

I'll post some photos from this show later on!

I'm not from Canada and I only went to The Gathering concerts in Mexico. Here in Toronto I felt the show was pretty bad and not because of TG (needless to say, they made a huge effort playing with such an awful sound) but because of the Festival.
I can't believe this sound engineer treated René Rutten as nobody... which makes me think that the organizers didn't know which band are promoting. Moreover, I was just in front of the band and I can hardly listen Anneke voice!!! The band did not receive the importance and value that they earned through the years. Shame of Lacuna Coil festival organizers!!

Equipment issues always arise especially when you're using other peoples gear (heads,amps,etc...) Par for the course...
And very few times do you get a sound check when you're an opener, and you end up scrambling 2 minutes before you're on.
If this was a split headline tour I would definetly be flipping out, but this is just how it goes opening.

No matter what the sound ends up being, TG always creates the magic onstage very few bands ever achieve.
