This is basically a thread just begging for a farewell headlining gig for Anneke.

I know I would travel to wherever it may be and many others would too.

I'm sure begging is futile, but I thought i may aswel anyway.

Please at least have a farewell gig. The final gig should not be at some fest in Finland. I will go to a farewell gig where ever it is. If Finalnd really is the final show I will have to find a way to get there.

It's already been stated that no more dates will be scheduled and that Finland will be the final gig. I know Anneke will be like the 7th member to leave this band. They will of course continue with someone else. At least we are getting a warning in advance of the final show. However, we can all hope to convince them to reconsider and book one more show of their own, rather than a festival. But, I don't expect anything more. They've been so good to us already.

Right now I'm listening to Sand & Mercury.

I am sure both bands are anxious to get started with their futures. However, I really wish there is a single TG gig as 'the final goodbye'.

Does the band often check in at this forum? If not, would myspace contacts or bandpage be additionally effective?

What a sad time to witness an end of a magical musical era.

As just about anybody that visits this forum, I would also love to see one final show.
Just The Gathering, no support acts, all night untill we all drop!

Paradiso would be a great place for that... Getting people from all over the world together in one place again.

I am begging and hoping as well!

I will go to the Finnish festival :)
But would LOVE a farewell gig in the Paradiso in Amsterdam.
I am sure it will gather a LOT of ppl from all over the world, like the last time 2005, the dvd recording gig.

Comooooooooooooon that's the point! Don't have any doubts it would be one of the most special nights TG had ever have... I know how ppl feel here and I know must of us are ready to make this farewell what it's really meant to be like: not EVER to forget...

I just hope they confirm either way soon, saying that they will or that they wont... im from Mexico, went to the DVD recording to Southamerica, i will have to borrow money to see the last gig, so by this time i dont care if its Finland or China, i just would love to see a full headlining set.

So please, if any of the band members read this, could you please guide us? a lot of people, not only me, will travel for the last show, i would hate that all of ous got plane tickets for Finland and later on having The Gathering announce another headlining date in some other country, making it impossible for us to go.

I love The Gathering, have loved them ever since Always, and i will follow on their careers as i did before, i just want to say a proper goodbye to one of the most beautiful persons i had the chance to meet in my life, i want to take my hat off and say THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING from the bottom of my heart, live, in person and i dont care where that is, i jsut wanna be sure i will choose right the location to fly to.
