who is going to this festival?

I am considering going to this festival as a short vacation, i want a (short) vacation.
How do u get tickets, http://www.ticketline.pt website i cannot read?
Anyone know a good hotel to stay at, or does the festival have a camping site.
Hmm, i never traveled before (as an adult) so i am like clueless as to how arrange everything, lol :-?

Burn, if u still go, if u dont mind, perhaps we could travel together?!

Sophie, are u going?

I am speechless... it was soooo f*cking wonderful and brilliant!!!! It has surpassed my expectations. :D
Silje was wonderful, she rocks and I think she is less shy on stage.
After all they only played 70 min, there was a delay of 30 min. :(
Btw, a greeeaaat night @ Vagos!

It's all good. Look - I've just watched those two videos with such a critical ear and eye, and what I work out from it is that Sijle is relaxing sufficiently on stage to get into the songs - and particularly the challenging older songs - and that the band as a whole has a sense of "movement" back in it - something that may have been missing since Hugo left.

Question: Is Silje pitch perfect? It's hard to judge from those two videos, but my expectations are so high. The other story that isn't talked about so much is that Marjolein's stage presence, and perhaps her live playing too, has come a long way since I saw the band last - which was in Salzburg, in 2004? I think that's right.

An important component of the TG live gigs is that songs from all eras fuse together into a remarkably homogeneous performance - even though the band has made such a journey over the years. Does that still work?

I recorded the show. Check out the Bootleg section : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7721&start=0

Silje seems to be getting better with each show, and she absolutely nails the older songs.

Enjoy!

Silly question from me: What do "D", "E" and "E+" in the setlist stand for? It's about the use of electronic guitars, I guess?

Guitar tunings, perhaps? Hans, René et al., are you around to answer this?

I've been there.. what I can say? I really loved! Even Silje appears a little shy, in stage she shows that can be more interactive... Aww she rocks definitly!
Thank Silje, thank you The Gathering for an amazing show, hope you'll come back to Portugal o/

Great pics. I took some too, but they haven't this quality.

It was a good show. Silje was a good surprise, I think she's handling well with all the "replacing Anneke" stuff...

I loved the setlist and the songs taken from The West Pole album, in particular All You Are (the last one) and The West Pole.

As Illuminating stated above, pity they only played 70 minutes... but I enjoyed each and everyone of them.

It's guitar tunings - E is standard tuning, D is everything a whole step down (so the low E goes down to um, D), and E+ is standard tuning with a capo at the 2nd fret.
