The Gathering

I'm normally not posting on the forum, but I have to make an exception for this one....

It has been two long years since the last Gathering concert, and back then in Finland, I was expecting to hear those gathering songs from the Anneke era for the last time...
So I was trilled to hear all these 'old' songs again, and must admit that Siltje did a great job. This made me really really happy.

Also, I noticed that the bandmembers were not only nervous, but also eager on stage... They really enjoyed performing again.

I am so looking forward to see them again!!

All You Are live is rock massive! And it was a pleasure to see the band enjoy being back on stage so much!
Marjolein was so enthusiast she took advantage of having a mic to make some lil speech between 2 songs on both shows

I love "Souvenirs" and "Home", not that much the heavy sound before. Although Rollercoaster is cool, too.

yes indeed Marjo was pretty enthousiastic, we had a nice talk outside the venue, she's quite funny too, a cool girl
i had the "conspiracy idea" to push her forward in order to perfom "Black Light Disctrict" again, since she plays electric guitar too, with backing René in the last part of BLD (like Anny did) and replacing the bass lines with loops, that would be ACE
so, keep our fingers crossed...

PS: forgot to say that the energic "When Trust Becomes Sound" is a good choice as opener and i was so glad to hear "Inuit (on most surfaces)" again

I am sure they will play BLD again. I don't think they should take out the bass. Just have Silje learn the few chords.

Wow..I just watched the snippets from the show and I feel you all did a great job, especially Silje!

Silje singing the "old" songs is way much better, than the Agua de Annique-band playing "old" Gathering songs...
this feels right now..!
