The mirror waters (partly)

So, here it is; the Tel Aviv recordings that some of you were quite eager to hear. These are the raw files, straight from a (rather battered no-label) cassette. The tape was handed to me after the gig and was recorded through the soundboard. Don't expect too much of the quality though; most of it sounds rather distorted, but you get the picture... I've done no noise reduction of any kind, just transfered it to the digital domain. One of the songs, "Heartbeat Amplifier" was digitally remastered and can be found on "Downfall - The early years" as released by Vic Records.

As for the gig itself, it was at least memorable for having lots of bad luck. As you can hear after the 2nd song, not only did one of the guitar strings snap, but it also became apparent that the keyboard didn't go unscathed through the rather rough bagage handling at the airport. The pitchbend wheel managed to get stuck so Frank had to transpose all his parts on the fly. I still don't know how he pulled that one off... During the whole gig we were also choking on the rather primitive "smoke-machine"; just oil on hot coal...

That said, for me it was one of the best and most crazy gigs I've ever done, period.

Individual songs (192 Kbps mp3) can be listened to and downloaded from Last.fm
The full uncut wav can be downloaded from here or in mp3 format here

Enjoy!

Bart

Just learned that this show exists.

Does anyone have audio for it? The links to the mp3 files are long dead.
