Dear all,

We will play at the Gexel XL, a festival with local acts which will be held in Arnhem. This will happen friday the 6th of november at the beautiful new Luxor Live theater in Arnhem. More info about this festival: http://www.geselxl.nl

Hehe funny fact, the website says the Gathering are special guests but they will share the stage with some hip hop acts ;) I'm wondering how the combination will work out :D

Hi all,

Who of you are going to the Gesel XL gig ?
I'm contemplating about going or not, depeding on who else is showing up.
A friend/collegue might come along as well, even though he doesn't reallt know TG.
Are there still tickets available BTW ?

going or nto because of others... This has stopped influencing me for gigs I really wanted to visit... I've been to plenty of gigs on my own this year and actually I felt freer to do whatever I want ;) (sometimes)

very small, not so enthusiastic audience, was a shame. front row wasnt even filled completely. seemed like most people came to see the support act?? as this venue was close to the origins of TG members and recently announced the 20years momentum i expected more people from the region.


however, the setlist was great:

i still love the oldies!

Great show!! Too bad I passed out after the show! The floor at the toilet was very slippery. I tripped and landed @ my broken leg! The pain was unbearable!

Muzikaal blijft de band functioneel en uiterst bekwaam. De epische snaarpartijen die uiteen spatten tegen de drumslagen geven een gevecht weer van klank en stijl. Voorgaande keren wist The Gathering mij te verbazen met hun melodische gothic sound die nu ook zeker weer te vinden is. De muziek was toen echter wel iets frisser en opgewekter. Nu mist er gewoon een fanatisme.

and this picture makes me really mad. What's wrong with you people? where the f#ck were you this night? It is a shame. They visit Greece once per tour and the venues are ALWAYS packed,( sold out or almost sold out). I could even give my soul to have the chance to see them on stage more than one time per tour. Some people are really ungrateful. :evil:

Sophie: I agree with you... the problem is that there is too much culutural happenings in the Netherlands... So Dutch people are spoiled and they dont always realise the chance they have...
That's no excuse for this though...

Where are spoiled, I went to 8 TWP-tour gigs, im pretty spoiled!
