And please, I would also like a more clear comment on this matter: is TG splitting up or not? :roll: That would be tragic, I think. :cry:
A break I can understand, but a permanent split? No no no... :tw:

Choupy from the French board will make an interview with the band on saturday ( for the Lille show ) for the webzine vacarm.net.
Hope the band will give more details about this statement :-|

I think there has been a misunderstanding in the interview... when hans says they dont have plans for a new album it's simply not YET...

and if the band takes a break for a another year after touring, why not?
In the end, we will have to face the fact that TG is not immortal... there will be one day when the band will say "sorry we cant carry on the 5 of us together"
But I dont believe this day has come yet you know ;)

Thanx for clearing that up, Burn!
It caused quite a stir in tG land, that one sentence... :-?
But I was hoping it meant something like that and not a definite end to the band.
I would find it a bit of a surprise too, to be honest, if we had to find out in such a way that band has had enough... They wouldn't do that, I think and hope.
And also after reading the interview with the Metro paper (see dutch forum), where Anneke doesn't even mention anything like that, just that they are slowing it down a bit more, which of course is fully understandable!
So now things can calm down again, although a confirmation of the band would be nice :D

After a lot of time... I'm back... HI EVERYBODY!!! :green:

First of all, thanx for the translation Hoang!

And second, I wanna say congratulations Hans! a baby is always welcome :)

Now, I understand his position. You all have to understand that they have their right to share with their families, girlfriends and husband. Althought my theory is they will come with something "new" in a couple of years, because we all know how enthusiastic they are and all the passion and love they put in each work they do... they are natural artists, good ones! so I know sometime in the future they will surprise us with something... (?)

I hope I'm right :green: !!! If not, oh well, this is a great band and I have nothing else to do but thank them for ALL the magic moments I had and all the beautiful people I met!!! I think that's the meaning of "The Gathering" :D

But that is your interpretation, can be like also no. Anyway, this it`s a natural process in many bands. It better wait for a more clearer answer from Hans in this respect.

And of course… congratulations for a baby Hans

and i don't know, when i read that Anneke will make a pop album, it sounds like a lot of time without Tg for me... i guess i'm too pesimistic...

anneke did a whole tour pregnant, and in all her interviews said that the music was such important as her child.

maybe it's just hans that want to stop?

I think a break It's really Ok, because It must be frustrating being so much time with the same persons, and in a musical way, personal proyects would be awsome, work with another people and learn even more.

but it will be awsome a TG new cd after all those new experiences.

Burn is following the band for the moment on the European tour.
I think he knows very well the current feelings of the band.
As the band is touring hard right now they don't know about all this misunderstanding and cannot reply.

oraidersa met the band today at "la Laiterie" in Strasbourg and talked with them about this " split up rumor ".
They're all very sorry about this misunderstanding.
They don't plan to split up at all !!! TG will keep on releasing albums and touring :flower:
