Hello, i want to add a new (stoopid :green: ) poll.

so I have one question:

What do your family// friends ( :green: ) think about the music you listen to?

let's talk at least about the Gathering ones (to be on-topic).

Thx for your answers 8)

ps: you can add your neighbour's opinions too :green: (for those who listen to music very loud :surprised: )

The people that I know don't really care of TG. They don't have any opinion I guess. Once I played Saturnine to one friend and she said she loved the song but anyway she wasn't too excited to want to hear any whole album :( When I play TG for example in a car and some family members drive with me they never comment the music in any way so I guess the music goes from one ear in and from the other out. And I don't want to force them listen to the music because everyone knows how annoying it is when someone likes some band and wants to make others to like them too :)

They don't care. They only listen to their crappy rock-pop or Britney Spears :-|

Friends says their TG is really great, (my friends joined some TG-gigs)
my father finds it cool (He has one TG-CD)
that´s all... so I´m the first one how voted for GREAT!

(It is easy to introduce firends into theGathering.
It exists a TG-video of -leaves- and everybody
who watched it, find it GREAT... and wants to see TG LIVE ....
so it happends in 2000 .... in Cottbus, Magdeburg ...)

veel groetjes uit Zwolle !!! :)

I gave my mom HTMAP (the rare one with the extra songs from the Liberty Bell single) and she thinks it's cool. She also likes Love Spirals Downwards.

My best friend "hates" the Gathering Songs, finding all of them boring as hell... :-|

My parents appreciate some of them ...saying that Anneke's voice sometimes reminds them of The Carpenters's band one (Karen). :D :flower:

As a Pink Floyd Fan, my dad likes "Sand & Mercury" song... saying that this one is really weird and special.

My cousins are not fans... but they like The Gathering, especially HTMAP? and If_Then_Else LP's... the ones they got :green: :green: :green: :D

My family doesn't have a clue what my favourite music is and naturally they don't know TG. Some months ago (when I was listening to TG ALL the time) my sister heard some songs and said "oh, that's nice. but why is that girl (Anneke) always so sad?" :-| I wrote a Sleepy Buildings cassette for her but dunno if she ever listens to it. My guess is she lost it already!
My friends don't listen to that kind of music so they don't know them either.
So, I should vote for...don't care

Most of my friends don't care. My girlfriend and her sister think that they play too loud (!). My mother also thinks that whatever music I put on the CD player or the radio is loud and most of my friends like pop, dance and slow rock songs.

On the other side, I met many many good people thanks to this forum that have the same taste in music with me and for this reason I consider myself extremely lucky! :D

Mainly they don't mind or care about them. But on the other hand, I don't think they would be that negative if they had a chance to give their albums a spin, after all.

Most of my friends either apreciate TG or just love it. If they don't, they are not my friends! :x My parents realy like, when I turn off Dying Fetus and turn on TG. One can easily understand them.

In far 1996 I've tasted TG for the first time on my friend's recommendation. Ever since I'm the one to give such recommendations... :) I've introduced TG to one my girlfriend (it was "In Power blablabla Advocated" :) She liked Anneke's voice alot at once. "Like of an angel", - she said (not quite right determinition, acclamative though  ) We've been together in concert last saturday. She's been smiling almost all the time :flower: Very special accolade goes from her to "Jelena". Can I sign here, too?

My father accompanied me to one of the SB concerts... but I still have to get him to listening the cd's as well (the problem being, of course, that they spend most of the time in my own cd player :green: )

Other than that, I have no family or friends that appreciate TG... :(
