Hello people,

I'm Spyros (too), i currently live in Athens and although i've been here for quite some time i haven't posted much 'cause i'm a bad person.

I'll be moving to the Netherlands within the following few days ^_^

It would be cool to "accidentally" stumble on TG on the street :P

Hey!
Warmly welcome to the friendliest community in the whole wide web :P
I promise you, if you go to their gigs, you will stumble on them every time, that's what I do
And don't feel bad, it took me 4 years before I started to post anything here

Thanx dude.

I've been seeing them live since the how to measure a planet tour. They've been one of my favs and specially, you-know-whom is by far my favourite singer

Hey everyone,

I'm Antonio, from México. TG's one of my favourite bands and recently I had the opportunity to see them live in Argentina and Chile (yep, the A Noise Severe DVD recording). Awesome experience; I think any of those three concerts beats the first time I saw them live, back in '98 :green:

Some of my other favourite bands are (in no specific order): Iron Maiden, old Metallica, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Interpol, Joy Division, James, Moonspell, Soda Stereo, The Smiths, Pixies, Type O Negative, Queen, and a very long etc.

Be seeing you around.

Hello out there. The name's Thomas, however many call me Bilbo (it's a long story)...
I've been introduced to The Gathering by a friend of mine in January this year and since that time I've been addicted to the Band's music :).

I'd like to say hello to everybody, that's it.

Hehe leave him be... he doesn't know better. It's not like I didn't earn my nick, anyway. :green:

Besides, better to look like Al Borland than like Maria Felix... :tw:

Greetings. I got into TG around the time of "How To Measure A Planet?" and I've only just got round to joining the fan forum, just as Anneke quits the band. What perfect timing...
I'm from the UK, where things are so pathetic that the last time TG played here, about 50 people showed up. What a crime... Anyway, I have never seen them live and am unlikely to now (at least, not in the current incarnation).
Other bands I am a fan of include Agalloch, Haggard, Rhapsody (of fire), Kamelot, Melechesh, Neurosis, Katatonia, After Forever and many, many more.

I'm pretty peeved about the whole 'new vocalist' thing, but the way I look at it is that now we may have two great bands instead of one. :D

Thanks. :D I must say that there seems to be a generally laid back atmosphere on this board, from what I've read so far.

Hello fellow fans,

My story:
I am Jeff from California. I had never heard of The Gathering until about a year ago. Like most Americans, I believed in the stereotype that European metal is all about grunting vocalists and Satan worship. I decided to check it out anyway and found a whole other continent full of great music - Nightwish, Katatonia, Epica, Within Temptation and Therion are now among my favorites. The Gathering quickly emerged as an elite rock band. I have never heard anyone quite like them. Thank you for having a forum to discuss their music and activities.

Gracias! Actually I'm not an angry guy at all, but I do love Peter Finch's "MAD AS HELL!!!" monologue from the movie Network.

Hello everyone,
I'm Sampsa from Finland. I've been listening to The Gathering for a couple of years. At first I was very fascinated by their doom-oriented material but recently I've learned to like the never material as well. I saw the band's last gig with Anneke at Ankkarock and it was even better than I could imagine.
