So, I'll also introduce myself...

I'm Voronwë (Thijs in the real World), and I live in Almere (5 meters below the sealevel, somewhere near Amsterdam) with my Girlfriend and 2 cats.
I work as a Dosimetrist (radiation physicist) in a Cancer Institute in Amsterdam.
I know TG already for a long time (Always era), but started only the last 3 years visiting concerts...(a lot, after my GF started to know TG)

Other music I listen to is mainly, metal, prog-metal/rock etc. Like To-Mera, Ayreon, Spock's Beard and not to forget my all time favorite band "Devin Townsend"

My name is Adam, This is my first post but I'm hoping to get involved a lot in the future with discussions going on here on the large number of topics.
If anyone is interested, I am, a fan of metal. My tastes range & just about everything from gothic to thrash to death to black etc etc etc. I would like to make a special mention that there is no nu-metal or metal-core in my collection. Then there is the gathering. Who, i am unable to categorise, so I won't try. My interpretaion of their sound is best summed up, by my signature below.
I, with my wife attended our first, the gathering show in Tilburg on the 27th/12 & was simply amazed. It was a great, if not strange feeling being in a place with a lot of people who have a strong common interest. I guess some of you may have felt that & that is what prompted me to open my account here.

Okay, let us try to introduce myself...

Hello all, I am Yaû (what a surprise !), a french 21 years old "fan" of The Gathering -even if I do not like this word too much - so be indulgent, my english may not be very good sometimes .
I discovered the band 3 years ago with Sleepy Buildings. And you all know what happened. The Gathering has become my favourite band. I do like the way they play. All instruments give emotion to the songs without searching each one to be more present than the other. And this voice... wow !

Just a little few words about me, I am a bass and piano player in an uknown project . Music is my life.
I like bands like Anathema, Ion, Antimatter, Dead Can Dance... because I like when emotions are given in a music, a song and The Gathering wins the award in that category !
A dream came true the 12th of september, 2006. I saw TG in lve and will remember all my life (This is my head at the end of the concert, torn with cries and surrounded by a little soothing sadness, that was too beautifull).

Now I decided to register here to share my passion so,

I´m Christian, 21 years old, from Dülmen, a small village in Germany with 50000 citizens. I do my "Zivildienst" until summer and after it I will start to study economics.
I know, boring . Further more I´m a Altbier-Junky. Altbier is a special sort of beer in Germany. When ever you are in Düsseldorf you have to try "Uerige", "Schlüssel", "Schumacher" and "Füchschen" in their home breweries. Great stuff suitably I´m a big fan of Die Toten Hosen. But my musical talent is very small. I cannot play any istrument except triangles

Hello, I'm Eric Wong, and I'm not very good at talking about myself.

I only heard The Gathering for the first time in April or May 2006, but
have been hooked ever since. Strange Machines was the first song I ever
heard by TG and I was completely blown away by it.

Other bands I like include The Smashing Pumpkins, Explosions in the Sky,
Pink Floyd and many others.

Hi there everyone!! Well, I´m mexican, divorced, musician and now finally hispanic literature student, used to live in Oslo, went to Madrid in 2003 only to see The Gathering...
