Ken je het nummer "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict" niet eens?

Ik vind 'm echt heel mooi... wat is jullie favoriete nummer?

Van mij voorlopig Deer Hunter, het eerste nummer dus. Voor mijn gevoel klinkt dit ook het meest als een track die ook op Souvenirs had kunnen staan.

samen met Thunder Without Frequencies de grote uitschieter..pastten beiden thuis op souvenirs!!! Enne jij vind t zeker wel jammer dat de opkomst van BM begin jaren 90 niet wordt meegenomen op die cd?? :P

Thunder Without Frequencies is ook erg gaaf en, idd, Souvenirs waardig! :D

Maar ik had idd wel een verwijzing naar MayheM verwacht inclusief screamvocal (door Anneke) :P

Ik ben toch niet zo kapot van deze plaat.. Ik heb 'm 2 keer zonder veel plezier geluisterd en sindsdien staat ie in de kast. Betrof het hier een regulier album van ze dan was ik zelfs ronduit teleurgesteld geweest.

Mag dat? :-|

Nee, je behoort alles waar ook maar enigszins de naam TG aan verbonden kan worden ontzettend gaaf te vinden. :P :wink:

Ondanks dat ik 'm dus best mooi vind, moet ik ook toegeven dat ik dat Spoetnik nummer bv niet zo geweldig vind.

Maar wat vond jij van Souvenirs dan?

Souvenirs vind ik nog steeds een hele sterke plaat, al betrapte ik mezelf erop dat ik ook bij die plaat niet zo sterk de aandrang voelde om 'm helemaal grijs te draaien zoals ik dat deed bij Mandylion, NB, HTMAP en ITE. Goddamn wat heb ik daar vaak naar geluisterd zeg, en ze bleven maar goed, gewoon elke dag weer :lol:

Kijk, zo hoort het. :lol:

Gewoon het nieuwe album afwachten lijkt me. Dit was tenslotte maar een zijprojectje, wat de band zelf immers ook aangeeft.

The Gathering presenteert 'The Musical History Tour' op Slot Loevestein

Tijdens de Geschiedenisdag die vrijdag 1 april plaats zal vinden op Slot Loevestein wordt de cd 'The Musical History Tour' gepresenteerd. De muziek op deze cd is gecomponeerd door The Gathering-leden Anneke van Giersbergen (teksten & zang), Frank Boeijen (piano & keyboards), Rene Rutten (gitaar & samples) en Hans Rutten (drums & percussie) in opdracht voor het audiovisuele geschiedenisproject 'Onvoorspelbaar Verleden' van hoogleraar Wim Kratsborn.

'Onvoorspelbaar Verleden' beschrijft de menselijke trek door de geschiedenis door middel van schilderijen, afbeeldingen en de muziek van The Gathering. Het project wordt als lesboek met een bijbehorende audiovisuele cd-rom uitgegeven door uitgeverij Koninklijke van Gorcum. Vanwege de grote vraag naar de muziek van de Gathering is deze nu ook los op cd verschenen.

'The Musical History Tour' is te koop via de gespecialiseerde platenzaken, Bruna boekenwinkels, Bol.com of direct te bestellen bij de band op http://www.gathering.nl. Uitgebreide informatie over het project zelf, is te vinden op http://www.pastproject.com.

Wist helemaal niet dat ze dat gingen presenteren :surprised: Als ik dat geweten had :(
