I think there could be a discussion about books too...just to know what you like to read or what books have (even just a little bit) change your life or just what to think about...eeer...things.
For me the top five is the following:
1. J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings
2. M. Bulgakov: The Master and Margarita
3. G. Orwell: 1984
4. R. Merle: Madrapur
5. K. Vonnegut: Mother Night
...and when I want to laugh, the five books of Hitchhikers' Guide trilogy :green:
What about you?
Cheers, Daeron

By the way, has anyone in here ever read the Otherland series by Tad Williams? It's absolutely my favourite! :D
If you 've never read them, you absolutely should! It's a bit of Science Fiction about virtual reality, its dangers and its possible uses.

Very good novel, but the main personage is disgusting... :o

Yeeeeeeaaaah! I like it too. An idea with defenceless people trapped by snow-flurry with ghosts and a madman in one building is really nightmarish. :x
IMHO the book is much better than the movie. :tw:

In no particular order:
Neuromancer - William Gibson ( Godfather of Cyberpunk )
Idoru - William Gibson
Virtual light - William Gibson
American Psycho - Bret Easton Ellis
Naked Lunch - William S. Burroughs
Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman
The human animal - Desmond Morris ( we´re not much better than animals, aren´t we? )
Fight Club - Chuck Palahniuk
2XS - Nigel Findley
anything by H.P. Lovecraft ( genius! )
any Sandman-comic by Neil Gaiman, though i consider them to be more literature than just comics. More of graphic novels....
