I believe that SHE CAN'T SING!!!!
And she ruined it all buy being such a sell out...Evanescence could have become something interesting...Instead of another American "let's get rich" band!!!

Like a lot of mainstream female singers( mainly all of them), she has a really good vocal range and a lot of potential. But, when you're a mainstream singer you "can't" and aren't given an opportunity to do that much vocally (and lyrically). People expect you to have one lame sound for the entire duration of your career and to rehash the same topics in your songs. I think Amy Lee can sing. But if she sings too much and has "too much" vocal range in her songs people will call her a pop vocalist regardless of the music behind her. And if she dresses a certain way and sings song with "goth"(even if its about love) lyrics people will say she's a rocker and might associate her with all the goth stereotypes and think she has a problem.

When she barely wears any make-up she looks beautiful so I guess her make-up people make her look ugly...

As to her singing abilities, I believe she can sing but I don't think she has shown all of her potential so far.
