Any Sparks fans out there? I'm surprised to have found out that the Mael brothers (Ron in the foreground, Russell in the background) are still going strong after over 30 years.

OK, then. Does anyone know who these strange guys are? Has anyone ever heard of Sparks?

Musically, you won't have missed anything very important, although some of the early stuff was great fun.

I like what i've heard of the Sparks, obviously "This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us" being the only one i could sing, but it is an awesome choon. Faith No More re-recorded it ith them a couple of years ago, and it sounds virtually the same.

That's brother Ron. Ha-ha. Their 2002 album Lil' Beethoven sounds interesting in parts. I've listened to samples on Amazon, but I'm not sure I'd want to buy it. What amazes me is that these guys have kept going for over 30 years, despite having no real commercial success since Kimono My House back in 1974.

I bought 'Kimono My House' used quite a few years ago; there were some songs I remembered hearing on radio (CHOM FM Montreal) back when I was in high school.
I always wanted to find a recording of the song 'Atchoo'. They had some very interesting arrangements.
