The Simpsons movie

Image

yes, finally, I watched it! .
Waited a while before seeing it at the theater… hmm avoiding big and noisy crowds was the reason.
Actually, I was anxious too because of the media bidding, the crappy marketing, the easy money maker around us and so on…
Also apprehending the fact Hollywood pressure would alter too much The Simpsons world and image (visual effects, words and vocabulary, sense of humour, character relationships and involving), known from the mythic TV show. Some accessibility points we would reproach more for in a way…
Considering these, let’s get to the points anyway:
I enjoy this movie!
Of course, It is a "commercial" and a more suitable "product" as it "had to be" for a larger audience (not only for simpsons fans), but come on, it is so good to watch a full length 90 min Simpsons episode at the theater for the first time, isn't it?
well i appreciated this experience.
This is an interesting adaptation (but not that great though) on big screen too...

"Bis zum Ellenbogen"

I watched this new German movie two days ago and enjoyed it very much. Possibly the best black comedy of this year. (Haven´t seen any others, though - so it´s mere guessing.) I have no idea, if and when this movie will be shown outside Germany.

I saw Tuesday El laberinto del fauno [Pan’s Labyrinth], beautiful film directed by Guillermo del Toro, a director I had heard about but so far hadnt seen any film from him.. I loved it a lot!
For me it's one of the best film I've seen this year, even if it's a movie of 2006... A sort of dark fairytale, violent and poetic at the same time.. Still al fairy tale even tho 70% of the film is totally reality based..

One of my favorite Stephen King stories. Directed by Frank Darabont, who also directed King's stories, The Grean Mile, and The Shawshank Redemption.

THE MIST

It is my favorite horror film of 2007. I loved the book. The movie does it justice and doesn't f*ck it up at the end. Great character driven horror with some freaky creatures. Low budget FX for the most part. Great theater going experience. Nice to see with a big audience. Easily one of my top 5 favorite film endings of all time.

thanx for recommending. saw it recently and i liked it.

L'Ultimo Treno de la Notte by Aldo Lado.

this is a thriller from the 70's...1975... what a good one
well, it's more shocking than violent nowadays... still psychologic and intense.
i like the atmosphere (pressure) and the music (from Ennio Morricone).
love especially the camera views in the train and the performances.
Aldo Lado is crazy and this movie rules.

"Into The Wild"

I read this story way back when it happened. It was first written about as a short story in sports illustrated by Jon Krakauer. Who later turned it into a novel. No matter what was thought of him, for his decisions that lead to his death. It's an interesting story. A great book, and the movie Directed by Sean Penn is very good. imo

***************************************************************************************************************

is the story of Christopher McCandless, who grew up in a wealthy suburb of Washington, D.C., Annandale, Virginia, and died at age 24 in a wilderness area of the state of Alaska. After graduating in 1990 from Emory University, McCandless ceased communicating with his family, gave away his savings of $24,000 to OXFAM and began travelling, later abandoning his car and burning all the money in his wallet.

In April 1992, an Alaskan named Jim Gallien gave McCandless a ride to the Stampede Trail in Alaska. There McCandless headed down the snow-covered trail to begin an odyssey with only ten pounds of rice, a .22 caliber rifle, a camera, several boxes of rifle rounds, some camping gear, and a small selection of literature—including a field guide to the region's edible plants, Tana'ina Plantlore. He took no map or compass. He died some time in August, and his decomposed body was found in early September by moose hunters.

Transformers the movie

Image

Transformers is a cartoon i enjoy(ed) watching (in my childhood) lol. it was my fave.
actually I was obsessed by the decepticons ahahaha....

so, this movie is a very good adaptation with live characters, cool action scenes, great fx, sense of humour.
although there are many "predictable" clichés, I like it ... really. it's very entertaining, and something a bit different from Marvel stuffs
the story is closed the cartoon tv show. it reminded a lot of good memories from the past. However, producers adapted it for our current daylife (internet using, mobile phone...) and with that annoying hollywood dimension. all the robots were almost here (there are some new ones too) all re-designed and modelized. Only Optimus Prime looked like in the old cartoon.
ok, so i'm gonna give a "5" lol... could have given a 6... but Soundwave, Ravage and Laser Beak are missing. nasty!

I just finished watching the movie Once on dvd. I couldn't see it when it was in theaters, since it didn't play anywhere near where I live. So I took my ex-girlfriends advice and bought it.

I truly fell in love with this movie. The story is beautiful and heartfelt. I even found myself with a couple tears at the end, I don't know why since both of the main characters lives turned out ok, there was just a bittersweet feeling there at the end.

If any of you haven't yet, check this movie out. I'm about to go watch it again. :P

Cabin Fever. The movie Eli Roth made before the two Hostels. A good horror movie with a bit of gore to spice things up and lots of funny scenes. Better than hostel by far. 8/10

There Will Be Blood

My favorite movie of the year, by a very large margin.

Paul Thomas Anderson is a brilliant film maker.

Daniel Day-Lewis has become my favorite actor. He is just amazing in this, as he is in all of his films. I wish he acted more often.

In The Name Of The Father

My Left Foot

The Boxer

The Last Of The Mohican's

Gangs Of New York

There Will Be Blood

He could have easily won an Oscar for all of these amazing performances.
