I love any movie with Christian Bale and am looking for the release of Mechanist and Batman.
I saw 120 days of Sodom, it´s not suitable for everyone, but it´s got it´s message. The director was murdered right after the movie was done, because of this movie. Very sad.

"Rosencrantz and Guildestern are dead", with Gary Oldman and Tim Roth.

and i dont know the name of this movie in english, in spanish is Mortalmente Parecidos... with Jeremy Irons, and he's "twin". A very disturbing, but really good movie.

I admit that I haven't seen The 120 Days of Sodom (nor do I want to), but I heard Pasolini was a known Marxist and was peddling his Communist ideas by making capitalism and the "right" look like raping, torturous, Fascist criminals.

That's enough to make many people, especially in Italy, pissed off. Even though he was a devout Commie and Sodom is supposedly one of the sickest and most twisted movies in history, this film certainly didn't justify his murder, if that were the circumstances of his death. :-?

Anyway, just what I heard. I could be wrong.

Death is going to be shot. Yes, the Neil gaiman comic!
Mountains of Madness is going to be done by Guilermo del Torro! He also will direct Hellboy 2 and another ghost-movie like Devil´s backbone, soon.
Edward Furlong is going to be the next main character in the Crow 4, after the teribbl, terrible 3rd Crow the 4th got some very good reviews.

I´m still waiting for Neuromancer directed by Cunningham, but i think that is never going to happen, since he was supposed to do it 6 years ago. :-(

Why can't they leave the Crow alone!? Even if this new one is getting good reviews, NOTHING can top the first. Brandon R.I.P.

Pier Paolo Pasolini? I saw his version of The Canterbury Tales, and perhaps a couple of other films, long ago. I used to think of him as something of a joker, with a slight tendency towards porn! I hadn't connected with the politics, although I vaguely remember the murder.

I saw The Canterbury Tales in the days when I was a member of a sixth-form film society at an English boys' grammar school. Ha-ha.

MACHUCA, another really good chilean movie, it takes place during Pinochet dictatorship, and it's about 2 boys, one very wealthy, and the other one really poor, whose families have completely opposite political tendencies, and yet become friends... i highly recommend it

TESIS, it's a spanish movie, a thriller, from Alejandro Amenabar (the sea inside). It's very good, maybe not very surprising though, if you have already seen 8mm or that kind of movies, but you have to consider that is much older, i think it was released somewhere 1992... i'm not sure. Anyway, really good movie.

Calvaire : quite in the beginning ... but then... weird, sea-green, thrilling and scary... a good movie... simple and efficient (no Spielberg or james Cameron tricks added)!

well, don't get lost in the forest...

some parts of the movie and the way it was filmed sometimes reminded me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the old one) ... no connection with the story.

@ LOST: Kitano 's Zatoichi is great!! :D

Baraka, I can hardly describe it. But it's a really amazing movie.
It has been filmed in 24 countries. There's no talking during the movie, just music (mostly ambient music, and Dead can dance appears on the BO twice). The aim is to watch and explore the world as it is today.

I highly recommend it :)
