7/10 but I think it's not my fault.
I guess there's a failure in the test.
Quote:
Which Greek God/Goddess had no mother or father?

As I remember neither Athena nor Aphrodite had both parents. Athena was jumping out of Zeus's head one day. The correct answer here is "Aphrodite" but when any of them both then Aphrodite is who HAD both parents: she was born of Uranos's blood (when Kronos cut his *youknowwhat* off  ) AND the Sea Mother.
IMO :o

(((Annnd Hera was very jealous after Zeus gave birth alone to Athena Pallas and she wanted to do this too...so gave she birth alone to God of the Blacksmiths, Hephaestos...the most ugly of all the gods :D)))

Annd I wrote "Minotaurus" instead of "Minotaur"

But yes, Io was really turned into a cow

I think it should be 9/10.

I loooove Greek Mythology :green: :green: :green: (and all kind of mythology) Any other tests like this?

Of course! It's really interesting! :)

I started 4 years ago during my latin classes and shortly I got curious about mithology, so I studied it by myself. I do not know all about it, because there's a huge amount of myths and stuff, and when I have a time I try to find out more info :P

Okkkay Aégis_Strife.
Now I want to test you, if you're not against it :green:
Don't use books pls, just 5 questions about Greek mythology and legends :D
And if you like the game, you could ask too

1) who killed the Chimaira?
2) who are the Judges of the Underworld?
3) what's the punishment of the hero Ixion and why did he receive it?
4) who discovered Ulysses's true identity first when he came back to Ithaka? How?
5) what did Oedipus use to make himself blind?

Well?

1) who killed the Chimaira? I'm not sure, but I think it was Belerofonte.
2) who are the Judges of the Underworld? Radamantis, Minos and Aiakos.
3) what's the punishment of the hero Ixion and why did he receive it? He killed his father (I don't remember why) and Zeus put him in a wheel who will never stop spinning.
4) who discovered Ulysses's true identity first when he came back to Ithaka? How? I think it was his dog who smelt him, but I'm not sure and I also think that it was Telémaco, his son, but I do not remember how.
5) what did Oedipus use to make himself blind? His own fingers.

Well, these are my answers, I hope I'm right! =)

Well... Thanks, the game works :D
Well, I remembered some things not so.
1) right
2) right
3) Yes, Ixion killed his father but as I remember he was forgiven. Not the other of his crime to fall in love with Hera and wanted to kiss her (or more...)
Zeus wanted to turn him into a god but after it he received the cruelest punishment he could find out...only because he was almost cuckolded
4) true...it was the dog (I remembered the nurse Eurykleia, I forgot about the dog :D )
5) Oedipus...I don't know where I red it but it was after his wife (AND mother in the same time) hanged herself...and he used the preens on her clouthes to put his own eyes out.

Nice one...Do you have questions? :D

Oookey :D. I didn't remember well how Edipo got blind, and I didn't know that myth about Ixion, thanks =)

Questions about what? We can make a trivia here :green:

Ditto. Both Athena and Aphrodite have no father nor mother. Forgot that about Aphrodite, tho. :P

I didn't knwo about the cow. >_<

And Aegis, the three judges answer was easy because of Saint Seiya. ;)

And isn't the Venus of Milo Roman? :P YEah, I'm a smartass, but maybe I'm mistaken.

I think the statue itself is Roman but it's only a copy of the Greek original made by...ehmm, I dunno, maybe Pheidias.

Aégis: questions about mythology...I also know stories of the Indian, German-Celtic and Skandinavian mythology (but only as a keen amateur :D ) so it depends on you
I love myths, too. :D

@Kain:  Of course it is. Sometimes mangas are really useful

Okey Daeron :green:

I just now something about greek/roman myths, and few myths from the scandinavian/indian one.

Maybe we can do something like a "Question & Answer" Topic.

May I start? (with something easy):P

Q: Who killed Achilles? (Aka Aquiles...I dunno how the translations to english would be...I try Aquiles-->Achilles. Am I wrong?)

Achilles was the greatest fighter of the Greeks besieging Troy!!!

Aided by the god Apollo, Trojan prince Paris killed him with an arrow in his "weak point" (his proverbial Achilles' heel....)
