I dunno if it was a Darwin or not, but my fav was the Romanian highway bandit group who chose the tactic of robbing ppl by standing on the way aslope with their cars. So ppl must stop and they robbed them.

Their tactic was working - 'til their end which came in the form of a Turkish camion driver who fell asleep at the wheel

Never heard about this highway robbery incident. But is not very surprising. Some of my fellow countrymen are not very bright. For example last year at least 2 people tried to see if there was any fuel in the tank by using a lighter... Boom.

Human craziness is infinite.
Not really a Darwin (however it could be) but what I was laughing for weeks was a pig slaughter story. The guy wanted to let his floyd slaughter and called for the pigsticker of the village. Both washed hands, etc etc and went to kill the pig. Unfortunately the pigsticker slipped while he tried to catch the floyd...he touched himself with the electric shocker (or how's it called...), got an electric shock and died. The floyd owner saw it, but he was so surprized that he got a heartattack and also died in some minutes.
So only the pig survived.
Annnnd the wife of the man kept the floyd because she said, "it reminds me to my husband".
