i haven't seen it yet... not fond of Harry Potter's adventure anyway.
i admit it's fairy, magical and beautiful...

i have been disappointed since the second movie...

And there's no way they can film the 6th book with the same ending. No hollywood exec would greenlight that for a kids film. They're gonna struggle enough with adapting the fifth book as it is, with it's sloooow pace.

He had a wank in a cinema, Gary Glitter rapes little girls. Hardly the same thing now, is it? Not exactly the most amusing things to be bringing up in a topic about a child's film though, is it?

It would be nice, even if the films were three hours long. I would still watch them. It's such a shame to do "translations" of books, rather than keeping them how the author intended.

hahhh just got back from the movie...

Heyy it's great!! And yes, very short indeed :( With its 2.5 hour I felt lots of things missing... For example the sweet Blast-Ended Skrewts :D

But I liked it very much. Okay it's not a surprise that views and CPU-work is great but IMO it HAD stg (much!) of the mood the 4th book has.
What I liked:
- Ralph Fiennes (and the mask technician also  )
- the contrast of the students from both school (with my inner ears I almost heared some good old Russian Lenin-song when the guys from Durmstrag arrived...)
- Rita Vitrol ...yesss!!! I also felt I'd throw stg against her so they succeeded to catch the figure :green:
- the Hungarian Horntail ... hehehe just ex officio you know

Well, there were other things of course which made me a bit wondering why had they maked that so (eg the flying contest with the dragon and the "Cliffhanger-part" which I felt a bit unnecessary :-? ) but my first impressions are positiv.

So...it's nice and also Lord of the Rings was okay for me with that lots of thgs missing. So I give a 10/8.5 for it for the first time.

And Ralph Fiennes still rulez :P

I've just finished watching it for the second time :D Well, I hate to say bad things but this is really the weakest of the 4 movies imho.
My main problem is that the whole thing was too fast. Many important parts and characters were missing, yet there were many parts which could have been cut out of the film. The dragon part was way too long (action scenes are not my thing though), and the Christmas ball was too much of Hollywood. And why was Madeye Moody's leg made from SILVER?
Acting-wise it was better than what I expected. The new actors were good and Alan Rickman is still a God (no wonder why I had to see the film again  :green: ). Whom I absolutely didn't like was the new Dumbledore- he was so violent, always shouting and he literally threw Harry at the desk when he asked him if he put his name into the Goblet or not. Really disillusioning.
I hope the 5th movie will have a better screenplay and directing..

I see the only problem in Moody that he reminds me a bit to Benny Hill :o  :o
