to answer this poll, I hesitate about voting for Indiana Jones (for the nostalgy) but i finally cast it for Lord of the Rings

according to me, it's the best in the list

but actually there is another one :

Sympathy for Mr Vengeance / Oldboy / Sympathy for Lady Vengeance by Park Chan Wook is my favourite trilogy ... no doubt about it. \m/

I'd have put Terminator instead of Rambo, or Alien (yeah, I know it's 4), or the original Superman (take out the craptacular 4), X-Men, etc. Just not Rambo :p

To me, Indy had it all: action, intrigue, humor, horror/macabre.

it is for me too...

orome, it's always difficult to make a poll :flower: ... to make everyone agree with the correct options. (it's even... almost impossible)

considering the thread, i guess a top 5 was a better idea

mmm... otherwise, was also thinking about Die Hard trilogy or Back to the Future (in the past, i liked these ones too... i dont know how it is now).

well, actually, it's very... very rare to me to appreciate a trilogy.

for me is another one: two, actually...

George Romero's -The Night Of The Living Dead
-The Dawn Of The Dead
-The Day Of The Dead

(and Land Of The Dead too.. so is really a tetralogy...)

the other:

-Evil Dead
-Evil Dead II
-Army Of Darkness

horror movies rocks!

Now this is pretty hard.... becouse most of this serie had at least one crappy movie in them. and if you have to decide on the best trilogy, all three movies must be good.
I for one choose Star WArs, becouse alll three episodes were well don, and at least one of them very very well done.

As for the others:
Matrix: I didn't see all of it. That is becouse I lost interest after the second one. And I sometimes feel that directors hide their mediocrity under special effects.

Rambo: Let's be serious :D . well the first one was pretty decent.. but the others... Anyway, the exploding bow kicks ass

Mad Max: Man, I just love the second movie of this trilogy, what a feeling, what cool car chases.. excelent, existentialist movie. Reminded of the game Fallout. And the first part was also very cool. As for the last one.... what the hell was that all about?

Indiana Jones: I only saw Raiders. so shoot me

The Godfather: The first two... what can I say.. They can make all other movies in this list look like childsplay. These are trully the works of a freat director. To bad the Godfather 3 was..... well...let's forget that one.

Lord of the Rings: why don't we leave it some time to set, ok.... ? :green:

another one: how about puting Kieslowski's "Three Colors" up there?

Trois Couleurs: Bleu/Blanc/Rouge *edit* what Calin said

Obviously the Romero and Raimi trilogies, but also the Dead Or Alive Trilogy by Takashi Miike, and the Infernal Affairs Trilogy by someone else, and after the first movie i have high hopes for the Nightwatch Trilogy.

LOTR for sure!!! :green:
But I also agree, Kieslowski's "Three Colors" should have been in the poll as well.
