Interesting that finally someone did something. Models today look like walking skeletons :roll:

"MADRID, Spain (Reuters) -- The world's first ban on overly thin models at a top-level fashion show in Madrid has caused outrage among modeling agencies and raised the prospect of restrictions at other venues.

Madrid's fashion week has turned away underweight models after protests that girls and young women were trying to copy their rail-thin looks and developing eating disorders."

And do you know, that recently one famous model from Uruguay has died from an exhaustion directly on a podium? It is so awful! She was only 22 year's old!

i heard that the agency told her she had extra weight she had to lose to keep her. so she had only diet cokes and salads(not sure of that) i think for 3 weeks. i mean it was her job,they "forced" in some way to do it.i mean it's not her fault like you mean it.

and smth last. who likes these anorexic girls and models anyway????? i don't.

in my experience, a lot of times when I was walking in the street with a fat friend, and sometimes not so fat, guys always screamed things like: "YOU FAT GIRL!, STOP EATING THOSE DESSERTS!!! YOU ARE UGLY!!!

so, how these girls can feel?? several times guys screamed things like that TO ME, and I'm really not a fat girl, really.
I think this it's a social disease. We have to start re-educating ourselves and our friends about this kind of situations.
Models can be like that for several reasons, but we have to start changing the way things are right by our homes.

how many times, here in these site, boys talked about Annekes figure and complained that she isn't a skinny girl anymore??

think about that my friends :wink:

I can't speak for your country (although i expect i actually can) but it's just as much women criticising other women as it is men criticising them. I've never seen a woman turn down the opportunity to judge another woman on how she looks.

also "pan metron ariston" sayed the ancient greeks. it means there must be an order in everything,normal things.
in terms of weight you don't have to be skinny and anorexic,but not monster fat either. neither is appealing to men.

that's true, but we aren't so agressive like men are. I don't want to be so general, I know that not all men are like that...

I mean, that's why I said that we have to start by ourselves and then the others. There are a lot of girls that contributes to that mentality too.

And well, at least here in my city, boys screams things like that.

I think those things happens in all the world, and sure something similar can happen to a boy too althpugh that's not very common.
