Anyone else a fan of this guy? His body of work has been awesome.
His use of sets and colours are brilliant and his movies always keep me on the edge of my seat.
Personally my favourite movie by him is Inferno. Its class. :P

I'm still discovering his work, but the little I've seen is enough to say I am a faaaaaaaan!!!

I first saw "Jennifer" of the series called Horror Masters, but I didn't like it much, although is quite good, I must say.

I saw "Deep Red" and I realized that some other directors are quite fans of him as well, like Tarantino. I didn't think that a movie from the 70's could have that effect on me. I loved all the surprises on the film, because every element he uses is perfect... brilliant :green:

I have more movies from him on my list... and I'm gonna get them as soon as I can.

One of my all time faves.

So, anyone into Fulcci? Mojica Marins?

-->Gerardo

It's nice to see non-american horror film makers getting acclaim that they deserve. Dario Argento rocks and the Japanese/Korean horror is brilliant too... A Tale of Two Sisters is soooo spooky!

its ok... i really shoulda just called this a horror movies thread... :p
The soundtrack to scary movies is really important also... I mean for Argento's movies they are always spot on and create the maximum effect possible... especially on soundtracks like Suspiria and Inferno.
The Tale of Two Sisters soundtrack is eerie and so is the Nightmare on Elm Street one too :)

I am too, Phenomena and Trauma are my favorites, and I love also her daughter Asia and the movies she made herself " Scarlet Diva " and the really good " The Heart is deceitful above all things ".
Now , I'm thinking about opening a thread regarding David Cronenberg movies , there I'm a HUGE fan :D

OMG! Shivers was a really freaky movie.. the last scene in the swimming pool were the infected are trying to kiss that guy on the lips... it literally gave me shivers!
Did anyone see The Mother of Tears yet by Dario? The last part of the 3 mothers trilogy... i thought it was good kitsch fun. Asia rocks. and so does Daria Nicolodi.

Ichi the Killer was far too out there for me like.
I saw a korean movie called The Isle which was very sick also!
I really really liked Audition too.
As for Dario Argento his Phantom of The Opera movie was good even though it was panned. I thought it was a brilliant take on the story

yeah Oldboy, but that's not a scary movie... lol
Sympathy For Lady Vengeance should be mentionned in the set then.

got to mention ... Family Portrait, A trilogy of America...
this one is a hammer! this is a three stories movie. The first story entitled "Cutting" will take your breath. I'm much more into psychologic movies than murderer/gore stuffs.
My favourite story is "Prologue"

yeah that would be nice. As a listener, I'd be very interested in how this story inspired you musically.
