ok ok...interesting

But personally, I didn't find anything that menacing along the story, (well to me), did you really? At any time I didn't feel to creep on the floor like "The Hills Have Eyes" or "A Tale of Two Sisters" movie

Along "Prologue" and to my view, you just discover some common characters who look like normal and innocent people. Well, some persons you could meet in your daily life in a way…
a peaceful story finally (?)

nooooo...

cause, what is scary and "violent" is the way you have to accept one of them is totally sick finally (someone that I would never have suspected cause looking so innocent and wise, admired by others... someone who still think (s)he's normal too), how noone (and will probably never) realized this (they never did for many years) and how the impact is still heavy and horrible for the victims. I think this story is the most realistic one, comparing with the two other stories, to much bloody.

i find indirect horror scary.. not loads of blood... too much blood ruins it for me.
Halloween is a good example of this.
I really really like George A Romero's Night of the Living Dead and Season of the Witch movies... they were brilliant!

here's my lil Prologue instrumental http://www.sendspace.com/file/wz9f5y

what make this episode so well done is there's no blood at all in "Prologue", comparing with other classics.

Hey, you know what, fact I've just talked to you about this story now really gives me the creep. lol

thank you for the link and sharing your work, I'll check the track as soon as I get some free time!

creepy movies are awesome.
The only creepy movie with no gore in it that i did not like was Blair Witch Project... tho i did like the sequel :)
Back to Dario Argento for a sec... do u think that he'll give the green light for more of his movies to be remade? I hope not... im dreading the Suspiria remake. :-?

as promised, have just listened to it. so... its good music and instrumental but the track is quite short.
I felt that menacing thing you were talking about. I like the last drum hits... sounds like the end of an act play.

yeah.. orginally the song went on for 5 mins but i felt it took something away from the song so i redid the song to make it shorter :)
The complete opposite to that song is this song called Epilogue... a lot more rocky and melodic :) Not as menacing...

Argento did what Hitchcock would have done if he didn't have to deal with censors. Deep Red. Opera. Phenomena. Suspiria is especially brutal - my favorite!

last Argento decent work is "Opera".. nothing compared to Profondo Rosso, but a good movie all the way.

And what do you guys think about the soundtracks? I loved the one on Profondo Rosso, is so weird, and almost funny for some parts of the movie, like a combination of suspense and nonsense, like if the music is also trying to drive you crazy.

I don't know if Goblin, the band that composed this soundtrack -and also the one for Suspiria- has made something for the rest of the films.

The music from Suspiria is very different, really scary.
