Thoughts are with the Chilean people, still think it's kinda weird that they don't spend that much attention to it, cause of the recent happenings in Haiti....

Btw, kinda strange: I just read that Anneke is playing at a Dutch concert for Chile. And TG is not playing there. Now I don't wanna judge on Anneke, but if TG weren't invited to join that event I think she's selfish. But can't say that at this moment since I don't knoiw if TG was even invited or not!

TG will play a benefit concert in Chile  The band, crew and promoter will all do this for free and the (small) ticket fee will be donated directly to people in need. :flower:

I dont know if there was contact or not... But seeing the line up, I see half of the pop rock scene that is now on heavy radio play in the NL... That might be great for the benefits the show might generate, but I wonder if all those bands have an as deep connection with Chile as Anneke does...

I just read that Anneke's concert has been canceled

Quote:
Concert For Chile has been canceled

Dear friends,

I deeply regret having to inform you that the forthcoming Concert For Chile has been canceled. These last two weeks we've been working around the clock to make this happen. We had some of Holland's biggest names in popular music supporting this benefit. Nevertheless, ticket pre-sales weren't even close to what one would expect from a line-up like this. Today we had to throw in the towel, despite the massive support of the Melkweg venue and all artists & crews. I received an overwhelming amount of moving messages of Chilean people: thank you all.
I can't begin to tell you how sad I am at the moment. All profits of my new single will still be going to Chile. Thank you for understanding, stay safe and I hope to see you all soon.

With massive love,
Anneke X

This is good, basically that means more money for the red cross!! :)
I wish another sponsor would have the guts to pay what's left over of the plane tickets!
